Just wanted to get some thoughts and opinions on buying a freestyle bike. (BTW... i'm not buying one... just wondering what u think)
As in, you checked your tradingpost or newspaper and whatever and found the type of bike ur after and it says it's freestyle, or has black guards, or u turn up to check the bike out and it's been cut down, seat, guards, airbox... would u still consider buying the bike? and what would u look for in a test ride? because we all know that its the suspension and frame that's goin to cop the most punishment rather than the motor.
Whats your opinion?

i would prefer a normal bike that came with other plastics or just a bike that I could cut up

nothing wrong with an fmx bike, just check the rims and arround the frame mounts.

Once again it comes to personal taste..........it all depends on what your shopping around for. If you want a bike for freestyle, your gunna be lookin for one, yet on the other hand, if you also wanted a bike for Freestyle, but wanted one to customise yourself, you'd be lookin for a normal, stocko bike....However...If your wanting a bike to race or just ride around on.....once more it would be a stocko...
Ya see, it all comes down to what your gunna be doin with it....
Enduro, MX, SX, Freestyle......

depends who owned the bike.
deegan? proabbly not haha - mighta been ghosted a few hundred times and set on fire.
i would buy one for sure - hasnt done any real work like an ex race bike. good chance it has never been trailriddden in the bush and drowned.

cool, good to see the opinions.. cos it's like a double standard... if we're out to buy a new bike (secondhand i should say) and its' been ridden for freestyle, should we judge it for it's big jump history, and think naa don't want it, when that's what we're goin to do with it (Presumably - since this is a freestyle site). Yet when we want to sell a bike, and someone comes to buy it and sees it's a freestyle bike, would they think immediately of the big jumps, but not think of the heavy motor thrashings and possible drownings an ex race and trail bike would have.
hopefully that came out right

but u can esily change the look of a bike by the plastics.
u could have a freestyle bike thats been jumped big but u could put all new plastics on it and say that its an ex race bike.
