Is it just me, or does everyone else out there get shitloads of suspension problems??
took me bike into mech to fix the fork seals, and he sent it back tellin mum (cos i don't live with parents) that bearings holding swingarm are screwed, and bearing for bottom of back shock is shagged aswell... and that its to cost $500
what the hell is up with that!!! of course this is only what mum relayed onto me, i'm sure she's missing a vital component of it all... but 500 seems a crapload for 2 bearings, is there any mech's here that would know what he could be talkin about
i'll be givin mech a ring when i go back home possibly this w/e and see what's doin

The bearings on the rear swing arm cop a heap of work.. It doesn't surprise me that they are due to be replaced..

500's a bit steep ... i just replaced all of those bearings on my bike and it cost about $250
there is 5 bearings i think all up that will need to be replaced most probably ... you should be able to buy em in a kit thing all together

ohh but you might have wrecked your bearings so much that you've screwed something else that needs to be replaced and hence the $500

yep, mech's story checks out... lol, few of those bearings are pretty shagged, so $300 - $400 to fix - keepin in mind he's gonna do it, so labour is the killer

im about as heavey as you, and i used to do 60 ft as well. the bes t thing to do for that is get some stiffer springs and race tech gold valves much much much better!!!! although not cheap it cost me (i mean my dad hehe!!) about $700

Yeah that same thing happened to me at Leading Edge. I got the suspension on my kx 80 fulle jacked up and tightened. He gave me the rest of the bearings kit so i can do them now. Just ask for the rest of the kit.
