The Super Can is a trick that is a variation of the more basic trick "Double Can" and also that of a Superman Seat Grab.
For this trick to be learnt, it is recommended that you are familiar and comfortable in doing Double Can's, Superman Seag Grabs (SSG) and also Sideways Seat Grab (which will definetly help you out).
Also you will need to know which side you wish to Super Can to. If you want to go to the right, you will need to be able to Double Can to the right, and grab with your left hand, if you want to go to the Left, you will need to Double Can to the right, and grab with your right hand. It will be better for you to be able to Double Can either side of the bike, just so you get a good idea on how to approach this Super Can trick.
1. You will need at around 60 feet or more to be able to learn the Super Can. Approach the ramp in the correct attack position, and getting ready to move into position as soon as you leave the ramp.
2. As you leave the ramp, you will want to try to do 2 things at once (and at this stage, you should be able to, and have confidence in your abilities). Take your feet up off the footpegs, and bring them up high, so your knees are bent, with your body about 2 feet above the bike. At this same time, you will want your Grab hand to come down and find the Grab hole.
( You can do this in steps, so you might want to grab the grab hole first, and then push your feet up off the pegs and bring them up high and center above the bike, but this just means you are losing a little bit of time, when you could be extending the trick. For learning purposes, this may be your best bet).
3. Make sure the grab hand is holding strong, and then you will need to use your grab arm to strengthen your body, and twist your hips out to the side of the bike. So if you are grabbing with your left hand, you want to twist your hips to the right, and crunch your upper body to get your legs up high.
4. As your legs are starting to extend, make sure to also extend your Grab arm, as this will keep your body a long way out to the side of the bike, to define the Super Can. While you do this, you want your legs to be facing forward, much like a normal Double Can.
5. When you have fully extended, and ready to come down, you will need to pull hard on both your grab arm, and also pull hard on the Bar hand. As your body weight will be more to the front of the bike instead of off the back like a normal Seat Grab. Pull hard on the bike, and crunch your upper body up, to bring your legs back to the centre of the bike.
Now just get your legs back over each side and come in for landing.
Main Points
- Try take feet off pegs and also grab the grab hole as soon as possible
- Twist hard and push with the grab hand. Make sure it is a strong hold
- Point your toes forward, this will keep the body in line with a Super Can, and not a Sideways Seat Grab
- Keep your body height high off the bike, for bring your body back onto the bike
- To extend the Super Can, push your body out as far as possible with your arms.
- Extension can also be done with doing an Indy, so kick one foot forward and keep one held back, just like a normal Double Can Indy, or Seat Grab Indy.
Good Luck

Picture - Taken from King of the Coast, this picture is a little mis-timed, but as you can see, my feet are pointed forward. When you fully extend, make sure you keep your legs together. Notice I keep my body high up off the seat, this helps both extension, and also making easier to get back on the bike for landing
