i have around 300-500 to spend on a complete and i wnat around 25-9 gearing and it will be used for dirt mostly but also some street and park.

i really doubt u can get a bike with 25 9 for that much. i would say if u are really keen save a little more or if u buy a bike for around 500 now make sure it has 100% 4130 cromoly frame and fork and maybe decent wheels and change the parts when u start breaking them.

why do u need 25 9 for dirt man, yeah its really light but i cant see a probem with running 44 16 on dirt. i ride street and used to ride 30 11 and my cassette ****ed up so now while they are warrentying it i have gone back to 44 16 on my old wheel and it doesnt really make a differance expect looks a bit goony... if i were u i would be more concentrating on getting a frame, fork, wheels that will last rather then gearing..

yeh i agree but i wont run 44 coz it just looks so f**kin gay, i got 36/14 and isnt to bad, im getin that specialized, the gearing is just a good feature on da bike i like the whole thing
