Ok, some of you have heard the rumours and alot are asking me questions... So I thought I would clear up some things and tell you all a little about this comp we are trying to get up and running...

First up, its happening really fast but it is called " The 2003 Australian Freeride Pro Am" and McDonalds, Airtime clothing, ARD, Envert, Monza Imports, Xsports.Com.Au, Trix Industries and a few others are intrested in becoming sponsors. Paul Deans from Zero Gravity has also offered to lend a hand. Its to be held on the 27th & 28th June at The Bacchus Marsh Motorsport Centre (Parwan) with the finals held under lights on the satuday night. Its looking huge!

Its being promoted by FMXAustralia.Com, The PeeWee Boys & The Bacchus Marsh Motorsport Centre and its being held as a fundraiser with any profits going to the Systic Fibrosis Society.

There will be both a amateur and pro comp aswell as a whip, big air and if there is enough rider interest step up aswell. All up there is over $15,000 in total prize money which includes $5,000 for first place in pro and $3,000 for first place in the amateurs.

Freerider Mag is onboard and MXTV will be shooting footage for the MXTV show. Fleshworx Entertainment wants to shoot footage for 000 #3 and Channel 10/Sports Tonight has also expressed interest.

Lots of big name riders intend to compete and we have heaps of other entertainment.. Rob Felli is sure to be a crowd pleaser with his crazy backflips and Dancey also wants to hit 150+ foot and if that aint enough we are working on a deal to bring Chuck Carothers and Alex over from the U.S....

We not only have all the freestyle but we have BMX demos, 50 races, speedway demos and if we can afford the beer, Slurs freestyle pig will there doing his jumpin thing.

Benno (Slur) is going to be head judge and joining him in the tough job will be Jono Porter who is out for the rest of the year through injury, Noel Downey (NGX) and possibly one more.

Latest new is, I may have Brooksy onboard to make the track and do a few of those crazy stunts in his bobcat ;) He is flat out with Crusty's but he is keen and I will ring him this week and work out the G.O. :D
