It's cool to see ya havin a go a constructing your own ramp, beats payin through the nose for someone elses but Dude, If you jumpin anything heavier than a bmx i'd think twice about hittin that ramp. Mainly the look of such a thin ply deck with no major bracing makes it look a bit sketchy!!!

5th November 2004, 04:38 PM
omg, i 2nd that, i wouldnt jump that it looks like it would just collapse or something

i got a wood ramp, make sure its 10 persent stable first, if u feel any movment when u hit it dont do it again, if its real shaky or ne thing just leave it eh, it anit worth it, my wood ramps is constucted excelently, not that mungo approves, but like Freaky_FMX_Star said, mungo doesnt like any wood ramp.

ozzy_mulisha

jesus when are people gonna find better ways of trying to kill yourself dirt bikes and wooden ramps just dont mix really think about the forces involved here also the fact that would flexs and the wood detriates in the weather quite quickly.

Really just wait a bit longer but togther your money and get your self a steel ramp it may take you longer to get it but in the end it no where near as likely to fall to pieces on ya and it last you a damn side longer also when your finished without you ll be able to sell the thing where as with a timber ramp chance are no one will wanna buy it for fear of safety if nothing else

freestyle_rulz
12th November 2004, 02:33 PM
it cost me notin so i aint complainin lol. i cud sell it 4 pushy if i wanted

hey get some vids of jumpin it, i think its a really nicely shaped ramp, not much kick tho, but nice work on makin it, me and a cousin made a small ramp for pushies out of wood. it really kicks ya...the only problem is that we dont have any dirt so we land on grass cuttings.

mrwhippee
7th December 2004, 09:50 PM
good shape/curve in it though

would be sweet for a mini

I_Bleed_blue
21st December 2004, 06:48 PM
yeah, it would be pretty rad for a 50

Slur666
21st December 2004, 07:54 PM
yeah it would be good for pushies and 50's but anything bigger i wouldnt. deathtroop had a wooden ramp and it had heaps of supports and it was stirdy and we thought it was built like a tank but after about 2 weeks of just hitting it at about 15 ft, skeletor cracked the whole base of it on a 125, 2nd gear just coasting along.

its pretty well built but not for anything bigger than 50's.

enslow
31st December 2004, 09:15 PM
yeh get some rain on it, it'll start to rot, and kaa bang ya are gone....

Nice transistion on it....

Where abouts to ya live??

Cheers>>>>TOMMO

josha_38
31st December 2004, 10:20 PM
Mate, i reckon its bloody awesome...............if it starts to wobble, wack a few more supports on it, if you thinjk its gonna rain, cover it good, or coat it in that wood oil sh!t.........I'd jump it..............haggard stuff is good, and that ramp is definatly in the Haggard catogory, so mate, jump it as soon as possible

2nd October 2005, 05:46 PM
hey man, i can see you've put in alot of effort to build this ramp. But wooden ramps just dont do it for me. they take alot to maintain and keep in good condition.

mcrkrew
14th October 2005, 10:03 AM
Yeah it looks pretty good, u could end up in a serious sh**fight if that thing breaks when your hittin it, i reckon for your own safety, use it for a river ramp on a 20".
