Ummm i just wanted to know how many of you guys reckon FMX bikes look good with the Acerbis hand guards or bark busters, i reckon they look awesome for some reason, just my opinion, but i wanna know what yous think?:confused:

Yup Acerbis or Bark Busters all the way. Look great. When ya Bushin you dont get bushed slammin in ya hands all the time.

And i've found that they also keep your hands a bit warmer when riding on Cold Days :)

na man, i hate em, i think they dont suit a fmx bike at all,,, makes em look like the rider is a trail rider, i'd never have them on my bike,,, lol,, well, i just think they're gay

Yup, I'm with you Metal. They look gay on a FMX, well i think they look gay full stop, but i dont see the point of havin em on a FMX, they serve no purpose. Fair enough on a Trail bike or MX bike to stop roost or branches and such, but deffinatly not on FMX.

Oh well, Like it says "opinion", so like I've posted 23 times before Each to their own i guess, especially when it comes to bikes.
I feel, with SX,MX and the like, a bikes extra bits and pieces all come down to performance enhancing and the like, and they're all there to serve some purpose.
Then there's FMX. 3/4 of the changes made to bikes is also performance inhancing, Like you've just done Rhys, chopped down ya seat, was for the purpose of easier seatgrabs. Grab holes, chopped fenders, the list goes on, but then ya get to Hanger gaurds, and ya really gotta ask yaself, "Why?" what purpose would they serve apart from looking cool, if ya think they do? I would have thought that with FMX, the more airodynamic, the better. Not to mention, wouldn't ya think they would just get in the way of tryin to get ya hands back on the bars, at some point.

And thats more than i wanted to ramble on about, anywho, I'm done.

lol, i dont think he meant any disrespect Rhys, after all he did say ya rig looked kool and all. But really, Bikes are a lot like Women, You might love the bike/women you have, but not everyone else is gunna agree. But on that subject, Bikes are a lot BETTER than women, I could go post these in the funnies section, but *** it, I'm here now........

OK.. to my say I like them for SX,MX and A Must Have for Trainning As I did most mine in bush for Motocross :)

but now Seeing FMX go from NOTHING ! 2 what we have today I would not put it pass some one Like Travis ( As Travis Use's them in FMX ) if he dose more Mods and Make's a trick from it.. thats how it is all ways trying to go 1 Up :headbang4:

pmsl thats the funniest thing ever brad, but to the Acerbis or Bark Busters i rekon they dont look good on a fmx bike, but they would be good for bush riding but i dont think it would be the best riding the bush on an fmx bike with cut guards and everything, to me they dont look good an mx bikes but look ok on enduro bikes

i dissagree mungo ... lots of mods done for fmx are for looks ... i.e. chopping the front fender and a few other pointless mods ... i don't have handgaurds but i reckon they are ok ... the do serve some purpose in fmx aswell, like your feet wouldn't ever get tangled up in the levers or cables doing cliffhangers and you could use em to push your wrists off when doing rulers/ kiss of death (jono said he pushes his wrists off his levers) .... i reckon they are ok overall...

I dunno if it's true, as I've never gone big enough to warrant cutting fenders, but i heard somewhere they cut them down for wind resistance.??? any truth to that? :confused: :confused:
