Ok I will try and help you here..

1. first there are unnatural color casts from the angel you have taken the shot the sun light is in front of you here..

2. you will all so have to make shaw that your lens is all ways clean that can do this at times.

3. much the same as #1 try not to take images in direct sun light that will never help the photo..

Here is the photo corrected in photoshop as you see you are dark thats showing the light in front of you and thats why you need to get to the side more - or get the sun behind you..

If billy B was here he knows Lots more than I do and would tell U in less words why you are getting this for shaw Im in no way a Expert on these things.. But I hope this helps a lill.. Cheers.. :)

Thanks man, yeah I just looked at the other one and the green line is comin from the sun so I'm guessin it's probably that. Just never seen it happen before today but I'd say thats why ey. I know it's dark cause it's backlit I was just wondering about that green crap. Bloody clouds ruin photos hey.

sweet! A comon problem is the white balance settings especiallly when shooting towards clouds! Find someone close by, like the shop u brought it from to give ya a hand mucking about with the settings, if not pm me and ill give as much of a hand as posable! Also were u using a lens hood?. oh and another posability is that dig slr, as with normal slr's have metering modes, standard they are set to 'evaluative metering' which means it sets the eposure acording to all factors surrounding the image in which u are shooting! so a way of fixing that glare of coming in from the side is setting ya cam to 'partial' or 'full' metering modes which sets the exposure acording to the parametres of your focusing point!

Yeah I think it's on 3D Matrix metering or whatever at the moment, usually never have a problem, I never even noticed that green thing till I got em off the cam. Haven't used a lens hood yet, got one though. So you reckon it's just overexposed or somethin causin it to go green? Seems like it'd be somethin like that from the way the thing goes. Oh well as long as it doesn't keep doin it I'll be right I guess, and if it does then I'll sort somethin out to fix it.

yeah dude, because if u have a look there is no definition in the clouds especially the big one on the right, which is where the glare flows from into the image, but USE a lens hood, u'll be amazed at the difference in the image quality!!!:D

Yeah ur standard settings should be sweet, they are genrally pretty good all round!

Happy shootin tiger!
