I do, but i dont race, so i wouldn't know about the armpump factor personally, however i have heard along the grapevine from several people that do race that doing extensive weights doesn't help the factor.

Well mate, I don't do weights, never have, more than likely never will only because I'm a lazy, lazy man (except for rehabilitation means) and I've never had arm-pump, nor have I raced, but I ride Freestyle, and ridden 6 hours straight and only after the 6th hour, did my arms actually cramp up

I have heard that it can make arm pump worse for those who suffer from it in the first place but I am not really sure of the reasonings why. If you are doing it to help improve your strength for racing then Id lift lighter weights with more repititions. Will build up your strength without adding huge muscle bulk and will also improve you stamina and fitness.

dont do wieghts dude... you will get arm pump crazy... if you have more muscles you need more oxgen to keep them happy, so the more you have the faster you get it...
dont try to gain muscles, more work on endurane.. so low weights high reps....
but basically i wouldnt recomemd doing weights...

I work out a couple of times a week. Usually 3 or 4. Doing both legs and upper body. You definately get a lot stronger, not sure about the armpump though.

Wow Bert. Thanks. Hope you feel better.
As for arm pump. You do weights. You get muscle. You get muscle tissue. You need more blood. Not enough blood gets to your arms, they cramp up.
If you do choose to do weights, make sure they are real light and just do lots of reps.
