Post pics of you riding the biggest gap you have ever done or one of the biggest gaps you've ever done.

Here's one of the biggest gaps i have ever done........

Hehe...this is Right up my alley :D....all the DDA crew, Dan, Pete and Rehge know I'm all about the big gaps :p. I've done quite a few big jumps, but my BIGGEST gap, which was done like a year or so ago, that i haven't been back to even attempt again, was at Chiricahua National Forest (Stock Baja track) Hit that on my then, tweaked up CRF450, (What are the odds, I'm back on a CRF450...maybe time for a revisit ;)) and i think Dan would be the only one that may remember it...maybe Pete aswel.

I know one interesting lil add-on someone could make for MCM2 is a distance meter ;)...counts the feet from when your wheels leave the ground to when they touch again.... I'd love to know how big i was goin, and how far each engine could be pushed.

Chris, Mungo and I used to have a huge gap at Ferocious Falls by Flap, it esd pretty massive. There are probably a few shots of it wayyy back in the screenshots thread.

Ooooooooooooh yeah, I'd forgotten about that one. Well thanks to Furice, who's claimed this gap, he let me in on the four one one and showed me the hit, so i loaded the van with the 450 and went out to suss it out....I think it's the biggest gap at Robs new place, anyone's done so far. So so smooth :)...oh and Pete...it's doable on a 250 ;).

PS. Since it's so big, it's very very hard to get a clear shot of it, so I've left it at 1280, just this once

Mungo and Furice: Steppin' it up :smoker2:

Jebuz, that's a doozy chief...ya wanna hope they make roofs tuff :p

I'm yet to huck my one out at Chiricuhua Forrest. but it'll have to come in like 5 parts HAHA, there's no way I'll be able to zoom out far enough to get the lot in and be able to actually see anything that resembles a bike. Anywho, just finished up a lil sesh with Pete so I'm goin over to the main screenie thread to throw a few up before i hit the fart sack. Catchya's over there

The time is now....Quick engine change in the 450, loaded in the van.....Chiricahua Called..... It was time to step up and claim, once again, the almighty Canyon. Grab your binoculars and prepare to behold the almighty

Note: For any gap to be claimable, it has to be able to be landed without the assistance of the flip enabler!.

(I know it's hard to claim that, when all ya can see is dots, but believe me when i say i have a replay ;)...vid clip or animation to come)

yo mungo i suggest u pick up "another fawkin pos by ghetto_fabulose" then ull find some big gaps bigger then that one but that shit is huge

Mungoman45
16th September 2004, 04:57 PM
Hehe, thanks guys, yeah, it's more umm....high, than long, as I have, and probably many other riders have aswel, done longer gaps, but that canyon gap there is just rediculously high, and when compared to the size of the downramp it's like landing a 747 on a matchstick lol, it's pin point acuracy, ya either got it dialled or ya dont. That's mainly what i like about it, it's freakin' huge, but it's also technical, cause it's not like ya got a whole side of a mountain to land whereever you please.

Anywho....*Gets out notepad and pencil*....Another Fawkin Pos....byyyyyyy...*Looks up at screen*...Gheeeeeettoooo Fabulose...Okey Dokey, i take it, it's available at MCM Factory? I'll go have a gander for it now, and see what i come up with :)

Mungoman45
7th October 2004, 03:59 AM
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE DAWGY!

Now that I've got this gap dialled.....it can kiss my fat white ass! lol. it is THE biggest b!tch of a gap to nail. The runups a b!tch, the drift ya cop when ya up there is a b!tch, and landing without puttin your ass through the seat & subframe is a b!tch. (And yes, several times, dont ask me how it works, I've never encountered it before on any previous DDA Big gap challenges, but when coming up short and dead casing, the engine sound in-game goes wonky and it sounds like you're bikes about to crap out, it coughs and splutters....kinda annoying when ya deadcase ya first jump in an hour long sesh, but realistic none the less :p)

Myself and Pete hit it time and time again, to only gracefully drop outta the sky like a petrafied hunk of frozen airplane shit, about 10ft short of the intended downramp. Pete had gotten his dirty mits on a 500 from somewhere, while i was still blessed to own a 450. Now Pete's nailed this gap once, and once only, then juuuuuust as he was leavin, i was still airborn, and actually smacked it fiar and square right on the downie....unfortunatly, i wasn't recording :(, meaning to get this sequence I'm about to post, i had to do it again...:(. However, after some suspension fine tuning, i went back out there with cameras rolling, and magically hucked it not once, not twice but 3 more times in a row, landing each as if it was second nature. (As i said, camera's were rolling, so i got the tape to back that up ;). I also assure you, no engine tuning took place while i was in the garage)

So there ya have it, after gettin b!tch slapped by this gap over and over and OVER again, I have finally got it dialled in, and confident i can huck it again without any engine failure as a result. Pete is the only other person I know that's done this hit, so feel free to step up and give it a go. I've done it on a stock 450, Pete's done it on a stock 500....Dan and Pete both tried earlier on last week on 250's and as is to be expected, fell about 70-80ft too short every time :p

anyways, I'm written a damn novel here, so I'll just stop and get to the sequence....

(PS...Ya cant see it really, bein so far away, but i actually did a massive superman in this shot....Pete may be the 1st to clear it, but i guarantee, I'm the 1st to trick off it :p:cool:)

Right to left my good man :drink:

Using the big ass house ramp setup, on the side of the hill behind the house, and using the main wide downramp in the middle of the compound for landing.
