there them midget road bikes, i think there called pocket rockets?

Yeah there called pocket bikes, pocket rocket is actually the name of one of the brand though, They look pretty sikk, I will have one soon:D

yer i have rode a 49cc pocket rocket and they are awesome.i was doin about 45khs and thats pretty fast when your only 2 or 4 inches of the ground

i agree with mx rider105.50's r so much more fun cause you can go off-road and jump them.but with a pocket rocket you just have to stay on he road.

Yeah but there for completely different things, and fast 50s and 4 times the price, for the bikes and parts.

yeah i agrre but i think someone thats got a bit of mula and wants a mini bike they don't hav to go and spend $3500
they can pick a pocket rocket up for only like $1000

yer but i saved up 4 a thumpsatr.and u dont have to do anything to them but put bars on them.you may aswell save up 2 more grand and then u can jump and screw about in the bush and on the road's.but with a pocket rocket your stuck on the road

i agree .. but i want a minny chopper some of them look real trick but i dun think they go very hard and ur stuck on hard places only, both the chopper and pocket rocker would b hell fun if ya lived town tho... think of the havock:D

most of them r the same but different shops out different prices on them.you just have to go in and have a look for yu self most of the time.and always ask for a test ride.you gotts try before u buy

Well firstly theres no such thing as a 47cc or 49cc pocket bike engine, so any pocket bike that runs a 47cc or a 49cc is just a rip off scooter motor, so there the normal cheap ones, the average pocket bike goes 50km/h, theres ones now that go 80km/h standard, and are water cooled with full suspenion, there sikk as.

Ohh yeah and theres a few pocket bike sites that are Australian based, and will be some Australian based pocket bike forums very soon from what i've heard.

umm yes there is pocket rockets that have 47cc and 49cc engines.i've rode them mysself.they might be a rip off scooter engine but there still under a pocket rocket arnt they.

i heard that if u where a normal push bike helmet while riding certain size pocket rockets the coppas can't do anyting, they classify it as riding a normal bicycle

ok, there was recently two articles in the paper over here in QLD. One of them said that apparently it was fine if you wore a certified motorcycle helmet, and didnt ride it on highways. (as in stick to the 2 lane roads.) and if u dont impede traffic (as in keep left)
Where as another article i have with me right now, says that they fall in between a motorised scooters/bikes (which can be ridden on single lane roads and footpaths) and mopeds(which are a registered vehicle. It has in a quote from a police sargeant saying that "they cant be driven on the road because they are statutorily exempt under the law".. (they cant be registered) And he also said that anyone caught riding one on a road could cop a series of fines more that $700 in total. So i would try to stick to the quiet roads, wear a proper road helmet, or if possible ride on the foot path (thats if its 50cc or under by the way) and they probly wont be able to do anything...

Do you know anyone thats a copper? cos usually if some kid walks in and starts askin about them they tell u not to, to try and keep kids on mini 2 stroke racers of the roads. Actually, my best mates dad is a cop. I might ask him one day and find out for good wat the rules are over here in QLD...

well i would look out if i was you. I sure did cop a $520 fine not too long ago. They can book you on more that 3 seperate offences. Unregistered Vehicle. Uninsured Vehicle (CTP). and Unliscencd driver. Also they may feel like booking you on any thing else they catch you doing, eg speeding or watever.
Watever you do dont RUN... my stupid ass mate ran from them on his bike and he lost his licsence for 2 years...

Hey Guys, I've already called Queensland Transport on this matter some weeks ago, and they can only be ridden on roads without lines and median Strip, meaning only neighbourhood roads, not streets with lines on them. Also a helmet is needed and must be over 16 years old with Brake light, reflector and Headlight, and Horn.

Alls you have to do is check out any of the proper american or European pocket bike sites, 39cc are the proper pocket bike engines, and the good ones are water cooled.
