Hey all,

As many of you may know, I had my 1998 tricked up XR250 stolen September last year. While these low life scum were escaping from my property with my bike in the back of the van, I was lucky to be comming down the drive home from work. To cut a long story short, a bit altercation was had and the Van was able to get by and get away. Anyways, both me and the other person in the car identified both of the scum a few weeks later. We also got car rego.

Anyways the cops cought up with these two blokes.

Yesturday was court day for one. He pleaded guilty. What happens? 12 month good behavour bond. Thats it. He is free to go without having to pay any money at all. His only excuse was that he has alcohol/dope addiction.

The legal system is ###ked. It seems to work for the criminal, and not for the victim. Both theifs have criminal records, expecially the one was was up on the stand yesturday.

Useless :wtf:

I want these 2 scumbags to rot in hell, while I piss on and roost their grave.

i posted this in mtx and thought i'd port it here too :)

ok the reason you weren't allowed into the case yesterday would have been because it was a criminal case. the accused was being trialed for the crime he committed against commonwealth and state legislations, i.e. stealing a bike, and was being prosecuted by the crown, i.e the police.

In order for you to get anything out of the people who stole your bike you need to prosecute them through a civil court, then the police won't have anything to do with it apart from give evidence etc. The civil trial will be between you and the defendant, in which case whoever has the better (read :more expensive) laywer will probably win. The outcomes of the civil case will be a ruling for the theifs to pay you your losses, where in the criminal case there is a punishment from the government that the judge finds reasonable *which it clearly isnt!!!

so in order for you to get anything back, it's probly gunna cost a lot of money ... unless you get some good leads etc and end up finding your bike! ... remember if everyone closes the circle in on these crooks and comes forward with any information or if everyone is aware of your stolen bike, they are gunna have more trouble offloading it and you've got a better chance of getting it back. good luck.
