Is Columbia, SC in for a treat or what? For the first seven rounds of the 2003 IFMA (International Freestyle Motocross Association) Series, two separate competitions have taken place in two cities on the same weekend across the United States. But when Freestyle Motocross lands at the Carolina Center for the first time ever, the fans will be witness to the most exciting Freestyle show of 2003. For the first time this year, the top riders from both tours will face off in what is expected to be the most exciting weekend of the year.
"The buzz around town is extremely high for this show," said Adam DeSutter, one of several IFMA promoters. "The amount of talent we're going to have here is almost too much for me to believe. These guys are definitely the cream of the crop when it comes to freestyle motocross."
When asked who he expected to be present in Columbia, DeSutter went through a list of names including the likes of defending champion Kenny Bartram, Adam Jones, current leader Dustin Miller, Ronnie Renner, Tommy Clowers, Drake McElroy, Jake Windham, Nate Adams, and Derek Burlew. "It's really the best group of competitors we've had competing all year," said DeSutter.
