Thinking of going down to Southern Cross for some fun to enter the king of the cross, I would only be ine the clubman races but you have to start somewhere don't you. Just wondering if you racers out there can give me a few pointers to settle the nerves when we get to the gate for the first time, and then the first corner and so on and so on.

Cheers guys

Ahhh sick southern cross, its the best weekend hahahahaha, The jim beam girls are apparently making the trip over for the event also. Southern cross is all about fun, just get out there, my entry is already in and you should put yours in quick cause there only taking a certain amount.

Sorry cant help you out there, your first race is always scary but as soon as those gates drop and the bullshit stops there will only be you and a finish line. You will be nervious right up until those gates drop, after that you wont have time to worry about anythng else. Just try not to sike yourself out.

I have been racing on and of since i was 5 and here are a few good tips.

1) Dont blow the start - get to turn 1 first.
2) Dont ride beyond you ability - you dont win races laying on the track
3) Train on and of the track- fat prics never win
4) No amount of freestye practice will ever help you win a race - win first then worry abount the freestyle over the finish line jump.
5) NO FEAR all top riders ride like animals - if you see a chance take it the other riders arnt gunna pull over on let you past.

Golden rule
Never tell people that you are better than you really are

dood, dont even think about the finish line on your first race day, go out and have fun

first race = fun day, go out there to socialise, scope out the whole race scene, meet new people, have fun and scope out ur competition

most common mistake i see with riders racing their first race is going balls out and indangering themselves and other riders. dont be one of these people, just go out there for the experience and learn.

Yeah. He is trying to say.. Soughta like, going out on the track expecting to win without proper on and off training, you will most likely not win.
