hey im sellin my bike soon and it has stickers on it, eg shift, onewest, nexfmx.com etc... should i load the thing up with stickers before i sell it or should i bring it back to race standards, eg no stickers, i have spare plastics an seat too so i could sell it as a race bike.

i think give all the extra staff you got,,take all the fmx stickers of dude,,,if i went to buy a bike and it had all fmx stickers ,you would think there been jumpin big gaps all the time,it would turn me of a little. Its hard to get good money these days for 2nd hand bikes so clean it up as much as poss...thats my 2 cents dude.

i agree. most people would buy a race bike not a freestyler.

i disagree, if it looks like an fmx bike i know that the engine has probly not been used to its full potential, where as a race bike has had the shat!!!! cained out of it. but thats my opinion

im pretty sure when they mean ''race bike'' they mean like a brand new 125/250 that no one has riden or raced it yet

if ya look at it this way.....if it is a race bike, more than likely it has been looked after and the piston and rings or whatever have been changed regulary and everything shoud be running smooth.

people look more at race bikes then at fmx setup bikes.

and no i am not saying that a fmx bike is not looked after(caus they have to be), just saying that people think that they arnt looked after as good as race bikes.

anyway good luck with it man

cheers -=RJ=-

The term "race" and "fmx" are bein thrown around this thread, in two different forms...

Race: "Actually been raced"
Race: "just the "look" of a race bike, not actually been raced"

and the same with the freestyle theme. If your just talking about makin it "look" like a race bike, which actually, just means makin it look stock, i say reform it back to the stock looking bike, that way, people look at it like a new bike, as ya would buy one straight out of the dealership. Simple. my 2 cents.
