Only the Best of the IFMA to Compete in the Single Event Weekends

AURORA, Ill. (January 28, 2003) - For the first eight rounds of the 2003 IFMA (International Freestyle Motocross Association) Series, two separate competitions have taken place in two cities on the same weekend across the United States. Rounds fifteen and sixteen will be single event weekends, Columbia, S.C., and Providence, R.I. Only the top ten riders in IFMA points through the first eight rounds along with five wild cards will be invited to compete.

Top ten IFMA points standings:
1. Kenny Bartram - 397 points
2. Beau Bamburg - 360 points
3. Adam Jones - 359 points
4. Dustin Miller - 354 points
5. Ronnie Renner - 348 points
6. Andy Jones - 334 points
7. Derek Burlew - 328 points
8. Matt Buyten - 317 points
9. Brian Foster - 303 points
10. Jimmie McGuire - 294 points

IFMA Wild Card Winners:
Nate Adams
Jake Windham
Drake McElroy
Tommy Clowers
Robert Distler

In the case of an absence by one of the 15 named above wildcard alternates will be, in order:
Mike Jones
Jesse Olson
Chris Denison
Darin Connet
Jeff Tilton

Kenny Bartram, 2002 IFMA Champion, has sustained the points lead so far in 2003, but rising stars Adam Jones and Beau Bamburg continue to apply pressure every weekend. Surprising talent, Derek Burlew and Matt Buyten have surpassed veterans like Tommy Clowers and "Mad Mike" Jones to secure a spot in the top ten leading into the single event weekends.
