The Asian X Games V presented by Toyota came to an exciting finish with over 150,000 spectators visiting the KLCC site over four days to be part of the awe-inspiring action only the X Games can deliver. From this weekend’s Asian X Games V, eight gold medal winners from Australia, Indonesia, Thailand and Japan are now making their way to Los Angeles, USA for the X Games IX in August
Four days of death-defying Moto X demos and mind-boggling tricks, flips and twists on both the vert and the park course from legends such as bike riders Mat Hoffman and Jay Miron, skateboarders Chris Senn and Sasha Steinhorst, and inline skaters Eito and Takeshi Yasutoko had the crowds shouting and up on their feet. It was evident that Malaysians’ appetite for action sports was whetted, supporting X Games in its growth to better accommodate the increasing number of action sports enthusiasts. It was welcoming news to all when it was announced today that next year’s competition will move to a bigger venue when it takes place at the Bukit Jalil Stadium on February 16 to 22, 2004.
This year's Asian X Games, the ultimate international action sports competition in Asia, brought together over 200 of the best athletes in five sport disciplines – skateboard, aggressive inline skate, bicycle stunt, wakeboard and sport climb – from 13 countries and territories across the region. This includes athletes from Thailand, China, Chinese Taipei, the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia who qualified through the only regional action sports tour competition, the Asian Xtour presented by Toyota.

Since then, Tour stops take place in Shanghai, Bangkok, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Singapore every year. The Tour events are the only avenue for entry into the regional competition that takes place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
