I was back in central QLD over easter and was given some great footage by Cody Ford (action helicopters - capela). During the floods Cody along with chopper pilots from all over the country was involved in the massive relief effort in the Emerald region. To save livestock from starvation and drowning they were mustered by helicopter and swum across flood waters (sometimes up to a mile wide) to higher ground. Some mobs had to be moved over several days resting on smaller islands overnight.The exhausted livestock were also delivered hay via slingload in preparation for another day of swimming.
