You keep on knockin but you can't come in.. Spammers piss off!

As a few of you may have noticed there has been a surge in spam on the forums lately. We've cleaned it up as soon as we could and we held them off for a while.. However after battling for the last few days banning a heap of accounts, some as soon as 30 seconds after they joined.. They keep on trying and it seems they really think they'll sell their floppy wang medicine through this site and dont want to give up.. Bah, I won't be beaten and the war restarts. I beat them once and I'm going to do it again, so for now, I've decided to now manually validate new users.. This means if you sign up, you'll have to wait until I am next on to verify your account before you can post.. Sorry, I know it's a pain but blame these Russian drug selling spammers or the floppy old men who keep buying the shit off them.. I'm working on updating some things to foil these wankers..

I did notice some things yesterday and before I could delete it you must have been on to it! Well it has been a long time since that last surge of spamming crap, so hopefully this one dies off quickly when you do it manually. Pain in the ass for your time, but it might put a stop to it quicker

Yeah I've been getting stuck into heaps of them too. What's weird is that some of the time they'll post a reply that makes you think it's a normal person, cause it has something to do with the thread... Then their other half dozen are just nonsense. But they all have links in their signatures and similar username formats.

Made me feel like a Moderator again. :)

um i have an idea but its up too you aye, maybe give anyone who is a member (the one with three stars?) and up the ability to delete people who are new and spamming, but the cant block people who are regulars and helpful? like newbies and stuff only? I don't know up too you? maybe take the idea and run with it ?
anyway, thanks for sorting those guys out too, they are pains.
