The only ramp I have access to is a mates and now it seems his mum has lost the plot and said we can't ride there anymore.. :( bummer... Here is a pic of the setup though:

Yep, my mate and some friends made the ramp with plans out of Freerider magazine (Australian Mag) I'm not sure of the specs but I'm told it's a normal X-games/Comp spec ramp... You can also get free plans for a rev.1 ramp from http://www.fmxramps.com :)

i got three wooden ramps, not as sketchy as sketchy as Dirt's though!!! and have got the steel and plans for my metal ramp... should be ready before the end of the year! All this goes on two downramps, and the ramps are actually part of my mx practice track!! i'll try and get some pics soon, .... dont get to ride it that often though ... its three hours away from my house so that sucks but what can ya do?

Man Dirt those are some crazy ramps almost as crazy as mine (near vertical planks of wood stacked onto like 6 'bessa blocks' and call it a super kicker)

Latrobe Valley is awsome for riding there is bush everywhere and there are some great quarrys to get to latrobe valley follow the freeway from melb down warrugal way and u can check out our fantastic ridin tracks!!

Yup, exactly Rhys, Sand would have to be the worst thing to try and keep up to in maintenance. Cause i wouldn't think Watering it and rolling it would do much good.

thanks for the compliments doods. i've spent countless hours out there workin on it, it's my pride and joy lol.
and yeh being all sand, maintenence is fairly big, it chops up hell quick. but i don't mind, most ofl the motocross race tracks in the southwest are all reasonably sandy, so its good practise. besides, i love riding in sand, i'd take sand over hardpack anyday :)

yeah i always hated sand but i recently worked out im a better sand rider. its fun to ride. exspecially when u got a track like that.
one thing that sucks is all the hours buildin tracks but its worth it,

Sand is fun except when its deep as crap cos one time i did a donut in some deep choppy sand and just started sinking.

if you are a racer, its good to have a hometrack with sand. if you can race on sand, you can race anywhere.

so true... if you can ride sand then your pretty much garanteed (sp) that you can ride anything else... but if you can only ride hardpack, then once you get into the sand, you grovel. I prefer hardpack... but I can ride sand.

And you dudes over east dont know what sand is lol. Come over to WA and check out some of our tracks if you wanna know what a sand track looks like hehe
