Best tip I've come across is "have fun". You will progress way faster and obviously enjoy it all a lot more if you're having fun rather than being serious and like "I gotta learn this trick today".

Other than that, be safe, try not to kill yourself, and try to find that line between the fear that holds you back and the fear that keeps you safe.

Shrimpy, i ride a YZ250, love it and i have range of jumps small to big.
easily enough height and lenght to do tricks.

Just start off by doing one handers and no handers. tap your helmet and try hold it as long as you can

Yeah I know that feeling that's why I said it... All that usually happens is you get so frustrated when you can't do something that you get cranky and end up angry after riding, and that just really sucks. But from my experience consider yourself lucky to have friends to ride with, makes it all tons easier!

:teleph2:Little Robert asked his mother for two cents. "What did you do with the money I gave you yesterday?"
"I gave it to a poor old woman," he answered.
"You're a good boy," said the mother proudly. "Here are two cents more. But why are you so interested in the old woman?"
"She is the one who sells the candy."
