View Full Version : can anyone teach me how to slam large jumps?

hey fellas,
i really need some help with this.
i can jump about 60ft now and i know i can go much bigger.
At my local track theres a 85ft jump i cant clear it yet but i can get about 3 qaurters of it.
can anyone give me tips on how to get around the burm before it and what to do when i hit the up ramp?

Edit:
Take the berm out wide so you don't lose speed and just pin it, do they same thing you do for the 65ft jump in the air

Depends on what bike your on mate. a 450 comared to a 250 would require less effort and a 2 stroke is diff all together

250ft or something, its not me though.
Oh, I forgot to mention that 2t's are a lot harder to jump due to powerband..
You'll need to muscle the bike around accordingly

where is your local track i might have ridden it. maybe tell ya how i hit it.

im assumin he's on his cr125. hit it about 5th in ban if possible. and SEAT BOUNCE DAT MUDDA F*KKKA. but at that distance if u seat bounce your bike will most likely nose dive a bite. so give it a bit of a panic rev :)

Stop trying and just concentrate on getting faster around the track. You'll find yourself clearing shit after a while.

just pin it outa the corner and keep the power on up the ramp. if your still struggling try preloading might help

i mean like you dont have to hold it flat up the ramp just keep the power on and dont let the throttle off thats all. and get your corner speed up too will help alot

make sure the suspension is set up, like preload and rebound and stuff
