Screw sticker kits! A bikes a bike, who cares what it looks like..
Its just gonna get ****ed anyway.
Is it completely stock? If you still have the stocko licorice bars on, ditch em and get a set of quality double wall bars.

[TOPGEAR]
23rd June 2004, 02:34 PM
no its not just gonna get ****ed if u look after it.

ive had sticker kits on my 125 and 250. it makes it look heaps better and it doesnt get ****ed or scratch off. sticker kit fabric is like 10 times thicker than the normal stock graphics.

i cant see what bars u got on it. if they are stock get urself some pro taper bars or something.

get a custom sticker kit if u can design a good one, bikes stand out more if u got a sticker kit no ones ever seen before.

also get a gripper seat cover, it will help u stay on the bike better. i got mine for $75

black side panels & black rear mudguard.

if u got more money, get a header pipe and muffler

tank graphics will bubble unless they have the little holes in them, this is another reason why stock graphics are shit.

Hey mate, just to give you an idea, here's my 04 yz250f, $120 of back fender and side plates in black, chop front and rear fender and grab holes, and look at how good it comes up :D
I personally don't want to change my graphics, I think it looks awesome just how it is, just like your graphics are good condition, I say keep them on until they scratch off over time, go for set of bars, maybe rims, and just pipe mods.
Anyway, just a look for you anyway have a good one

get a Power Now valve, its supposed 2 give 4strokes more snap out of corners and its only about $160. also a decent set of tapered bars. and get the suspension gold valved and set up 4 your weight. i think ur better off getting bars and suspension good before u start on the engine

mick79
23rd June 2004, 08:24 PM
wot does gold valved do sorry im a gumby

The Snitz
23rd June 2004, 08:26 PM
This power Now valve, your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter lol.

Whats the go with that? I've never heard of it, then again, I haven't been in the 4stroke world for long, long enough to know they jump 80 foot nicely, not how fast they can get :)

hey steve have you got the YZ or the CRF

mick79
23rd June 2004, 08:32 PM

yamaha_54
23rd June 2004, 09:03 PM
gold valves just sorta make the suspension smoother, not completely sure how but its 2 hard 2 explain properly but their good, exept on a crf250 they come with better valves that the gold valves, u just need 2 get them shimed properly.

the power now, i was in at the bike shop 2day with a mate asking about this. it bolts on 2 the carby and improves snap from idle and pulls harder up to mid throttle, reduces stalling when though tight tracks, you can pull a gear higher out of turns or in slow sections. it works best on 4strokes specialy ktm because the are known 4 having a flat spot in the power. u can also get the 4 2strokes but theres no point, they do **** all

yamaha_54

NEVER!!!!

Haha, I was going to shave my seat and put black gripper cover on, but when it all comes down to it, the seat is absolutely perfect where it is for grabs and the seat cover is awesome (did take a while to get used to ripping the inside of my legs since i dont' wear proper riding pants) but the Black/Blue of the seat works well with the black/blue of the overall bike I feel (AND I don't have to pay over $100 for seat cover haha)

[TOPGEAR]

The Snitz
24th June 2004, 12:21 PM
Innnnteresting theory you have there! Better than N-Style that my local bloke could get for $125, and that was cheapest that he could find from his dealers.

[TOPGEAR]
24th June 2004, 12:28 PM

You may use my graphics as a concept for your own. You cannot use the M logo on the top of the shroud as it is the Mungo Industries Logo. I say, "concept" because my graphics are custom designed to fit my 01 250, and will not comfortably fit your bike, so you'd need to change them in some way anyways tomould around your tank/shrouds, so yes, by all means, go nuts, but just remove the M logo. Throw your own personilsed logo in there to make it yours, or just design the flame to fold over the top of the shroud.
Since your going the black plastics, I'll throw a pic of my bike with Black plastics to give ya an idea of how they would look ;).

cheers brad any now i know you designed these graphics by your self now the question is how the hell do i get them done do you have an old template you could send me

oh hang on were you talking to me or brad doh!

Mungoman45
24th June 2004, 07:17 PM
If you were talking to me Mick, no, that edit is one i did a while ago. And yes, i do have a hardcopy template of those, and the place that printed them have a digital copy, but as i said, they wont do you any good, because they are moulded around the 01 250 Yamaha shroud/tank, therefor will not fit your bike. You will need to redesign them to fit around your shroud/tank, hence why i said, you could use em as a concept...something to go off.

[TOPGEAR]
24th June 2004, 08:37 PM
post them up here anyway, because they will fit mine :)

Mungoman45
24th June 2004, 08:44 PM
Um, no. I'm not releasing custom made graphics to the general public for free.

[TOPGEAR]
24th June 2004, 08:47 PM
ok, how about releasing them to me for free ? no one else lol.

its not as if im gonna use them anyway, just wanna have some fun in photoshop.

Mungoman45
24th June 2004, 08:53 PM
Fun can be had with the pics available. there is no need for complete scaled templates.
