Friday Night Recap
In his home state of Oklahoma, it was the cowboy himself Kenny Bartram taking home the win Friday night. The cowboy put on an energy packed run with his now trade marked trick, the No-Handed Whip. Also returning to action after a week off was Drake McElroy. Drake came into tonight’s main event as the number two qualifier and ended up with a third in the main. Drake put on a great ride.
After a win last weekend, it was Beau Bamberg taking the runner up position. Beau put together a solid run with the highlight coming at the end with a Showlin to No Handed Lander. Robert Distler put in a solid ride as well. The kid from Arizona put on a solid charge in the main for a forth place overall. Other notables include Doug Parsons with a seventh and Adam Jones with a fifth.
Saturday Recap
Saturday night in Oklahoma City was full of surprises, but in the end it was two riders from Oklahoma stealing all the spotlight. Kenny Bartram, in front of his home town crowd, put on a great ride to take top honors with a score of 92.7. Fernley Nevada rider Drake McElroy kept Kenny honest all night. Drake’s main event score of 92.5 was good enough for second place.
Another kid from Oklahoma stole some of the Kenny’s limelight as well. Andy Jones from Elk City Oklahoma put on a stellar performance. Andy’s 92.0 gave him the final position on the podium. Robert Distler also impressed everyone and looked like he could be on his way to winning. Robert put together an awesome run, until he went for a late triple Seran Wrap and got hung up on the bars. We are happy to report that Robert only suffered a mild concussion and should be back in action next week.
