Well robbo the old ford drive line is hard to beat no matter which way you look at but when it comes to the motors the aint a lot in it but it does seem strange that the 308cube holden can keep up with 351 cube ford stroke the holden and its goodbye ford oh well you get that!
But hey you got a hard one to pick on i was always a bit of a holden man but i have owned both and i can tell you that theyre both good cars holden men can appreciate a mustang but ford boys can give props to a monaro.
As for new cars the holden always seem to look better except for now the ol BA is sweet but ford have build some more reialble motors not faster just more reliable why do you think all the cabbies drive fords

good point topgear and you know what made the BA some much quicker than the AU well the AU was purely a ford designed chassis and the BA while it was design by ford was a clone of the chassis that all of the holden have used for ages hence the reason for the fords coming back up in the points now.
So the V8 supercars are almost the same between the two and it really comes down to driver skill and not the car so who gives a shit if Ambrose is winning he is a good driver good one but this thread was about who makes the better car and what you fav is

I've never been for just either holden or ford. I like both- but then i dont prolly count co im not much of a car person. BUT! i suppose it depends on who im with. If i'm with ppl who like Fords, I bag out the fords.. If im with ppl who like Holdens, I bag out the Holdens!

They both suck. Give me a Honda or pretty much any other Jap ride anyday. The only reason I don't like them is because there heavy and they both need a big engine to make decent power and these engines are only gona get bigger in the future. Granted they make choice torque numbers but they use bulk fuel and its cars like this and all the bloody 4WD's that are in the city that never see a dirt road( not talking about people that live on farms and others who actually use a 4WD for its intented purpose) that are helping to **** up our planet. Well, look at the history, holdens piss all over the fords, holdens have most of the wins, richards would still be winning if skaife didn't put him off the tarck at barbagallo. But richards and ambrose are just 2 drivers, take the top 5 to give a more broad situation, and theres 4 holdens in the top 5 and only 1 ford.
And talking v8 supercars, 2 years ago when they nrough project blue print out, because the holdens were killing the fords so they had to make it more equal so the fords had a chance at winning.
