Rock Climbing around brisbane

Not having my bike for over a month ive taken up indoor rockclimbing to get a bit of fitness and core strength for when i start riding again. Anyway ive got way more into it than i thought i would and im loving the constant personal challenges it provides. I did my first lead climb last night at kangaroo point wich was pretty sik so much scaryier than top rope.

Anyway after that ive decided to get my own gear with the goal of improving and doing some mulitpich lead climbs and hopefully start doing some climbing with trad gear.

If anyone else on here climbs outdoors it would be sik if you could point me towards some good places to go on weekend trips around brisbane as kangaroo point allthough conveniant is crowded and not all that high.

Hey man i did rock climbing at kangaroo point with the epic fellow or whatever (i ripped at it) haha but the instructor said he did some climbing or something up at mt barney or out the back of beudesert way so maybe just google it, actually we did an assignment on it to and i remember now google was the way to go. :) hope that helped a bit. Its great fun to hey.

thanks man, i found plenty of shit on google, was jsut hoping for maybe some recounts of personal experiences from different places and wat the climbing was like. been getting some good pointers from people at the climbing gym. But im gathering as much info as possible for my first weekend trip

Amother place i have been to man is Mt warning its just over the nsw border and its like an 8km treck up this track and then at the end of it its like a verticle rock scramble to the summit you do it at like 3 ol**** in the morning or something so you see the sunrise at the top and its like the first southern place the sun hits in australia so its pretty cool and theirs a camp ground at the bottom of it :) just another idea hope all goes well mate.

yeah found a bloke who knows some local spots at the gym and hes going to take me to glass house in a few weeks, cant wait.. might get a trail ride in whilst im there

Oh yeh thats sick as man how much are u into this rock climbing haha its pretty fun though aye.Im starting to get into bridge jumping and flipping like that doing 360 gana's and stuff like that haha.
