"It is Confirmed, that Seth Enslow will attempt the World Distance Record later on this year in Australia"....Distance is not confirmed, nor is the location, however the fact remains that the attempt WILL be held in Australia :).

Yep, well when Seth confirmed it Friday night at Brizzie Crusty, I had chills running down my spine... almost instantly I was on the mobile SMS'ing Brad to let him tell everyone on these forums that it Will go ahead and not just rumour. As for where it is.... who cares, I think I'll take the time to go wherever it is, it would truly be one of the biggest things you see in a lifetime.

i dont reckon ryan carpes should have the record myself.i think it's in a freerider or somethin seth says that he shouldnt be claiming the record.cause he measured from the top of the ramp across the jump with the tape flappin in the wind and to where his back wheel landed.but all of seth's measurements have been run along the ground were it's straight and can't have another 10 foot added cause of wind.

This claim is not as weird as it sounds. Maddo is jumping 175-180' now while doing tricks, and that is off a dirt hit at Kiama.It's not beyond his ability but maybe beyond a stock 250!

I've said it a hundred times but it seems there's always a few that miss it. Yes you read in Freerider that Capes measures his jumps like that. You know why? Because that is the industry standard for how to measure distance jumps, and how everyone does it. Johnny Airtime came up with this set of standards, and he co-ordinated both Seth and Capes' record attempts. If you watch Seth's first movie where he goes for the record and crashes before he gets it, you'll notice that they too measure over the downramp. And he's still way short of the record at the time, let alone now. I just wish Seth's brainwashing scheme didn't work like it has, he's tricked so many people into thinking Capes is a cheater when he's not. Seth is probably upset that he didn't get the record first, but slagging the opponent isn't the way to go about things. And tape flapping in the wind? Minimal, if any worthwhile effect on the actual distance recorded, plus, do you really think Capes would go for a record if there was much wind? You fly for that long and a small breeze messes you up bad, so I doubt it.

Ryan Capes holds the World Distance Jump Record. Stop denying it Seth lovers, the proof is everywhere... If Seth goes for it again, great, good for him, I hope he doesn't get hurt, but until he officially makes it, the smack talk really shouldn't be there.

If Maddo has a go, well now that would just be damn cool. An Aussie with the distance record... Yes I could live with that...

I hope thats all true and no one gets hurt, seeing tricks being thrown over massive gaps would be sweet, I wonder what distance and which trick, and is trigger goin for the record ON the crusty tour?, wouldn't a 500cc record be almost that of 300ft if not maybe even more?...

Maddo was doing SSG indys over a 185 foot gap last time he practiced big gap. He hasn't had time to practice big gap in ages so we'll have to see, It's at the start of the Crusty tour so maybe that will be the killer.

i doubt it will be 300 ft straight up cos he will loose too much cash, every time he go's for a record he gets whatever amount of cach and if he gos for the 300 he will loose money so if he go's 265, 270, 275, 280 and so on he will make way more money.

These distance jumping guys are mad youd have to be pretty confident in your machine coz the mechanism for injury is huge even death type s**t just hope whoever goes for it doesnt get worked big time i think seth should give it a miss coz he gets wailed everytime he tries his record jumps.like the seth II one is just so dodgy "we had to reinforce the ramp"and they put a couple of shitty bits of wood across the frame that sort of stuff is dumb when its your life your considering after all money is no good if ya cant spend it.
