I got the RMZ and have had the valves done on mine. I also think the gear lever is getting jammed which is simple fixed.

Both come under warranty.

Ive seen all a lot of 250'fs of all colours have valve issues though so I dont think the colour makes a difference.
I love my RMZ, has lots off the bottom, and is light.
Has a very high kickstarter though

getting the valves re adjusted, does that depend on how hard u ride the bike and if u race or not ??

most of the problems with the valves happen with bikes that are rode hard and the motor 'valve bounces' which causes the valves to wear

cool, how often should they be checked ??? and when u ride can u tell if they need adjusting before u go pull the head off the motor

Talking to my mechanic the other day, a lot of 250fs are having valve trouble but the cause of it is still not 100% known. Id get them checked every few hours. I knew mine were needing adjusting when the bike became hard to start and was also stalling on me. My RMZ would be lucky to have 5 hours on it, maybe 10!
Sometimes dust can be a problem, after the Pakenham Thumper X I did dust them a little but wasnt servere so you really should clean the airfilter after EVERY ride and in dusty mx situations, EVERY race and it wouldnt hurt to add some valve stuff to your fuel. Almost every 250f in the A4de this year had valve issues with a lot of riders dnfing or timing out especially the CRF. Lots of talk has been on the topic and some people are blaming bad fuel, dust, and riding the bike too hard.

Whoever is the genius who finds the solution to this problem I am sure will be a very rich man!
