Hey everyone and thanks for taking a look at yet another story I have to tell. The origins of this story are not fully known but what we do know, the past couple of weeks have proven themselves to be quite a good time and many more times to be had. I speak of none-other than my few days I've spent over at Adam's (5th Pinned's) place up here in Sunny Sunny Brisbane.

Now here's a brave man... Toby comes bustin out on a YZ125.... 1986 model :p... She did not take to the jumps in the best of fashion really but dammit he was gettin SSG's out of it over 30 foot when they were all practising.. Time for a new bike I thinks

You'll never guess who came out to have a look at Adam's setup... WITH HIS BIKE!!! The man himself, Rory Grinrod, rider at X-Rated comp who you may have heard had a big accident only 7 weeks ago where he stuffed his neck up. He's had to have surgery and a tracheody in his neck to allow him to breathe (A hole in his neck like u see in movies). The guy has had to deal with some harsh stuff but he's back at it. He still had the thing in his neck so not allowed to jump but he did ride around and had a whale of a time. Almost brought a tear to my eye to see him ride again :)

And... For anyone that cares (I know noone would lol) But.... I got back on a bike for the first time in 6 weeks!!! This was very hard to do one handed, and it took me 30 mins to figure out a system to get it started, but once I did, I had Adam's bike smokin the place out in first gear :D WOOO hahaha. I was too scared to go too fast or it would have been Reconstruction time all over on my shoulder and thats the last thing I need. I was just so bloody happy to ride again, although it was absolute torture watching the guys jumping!

Oh, notice I have to ride with my left hand on the throttle too.. makes turning and controlling the bike that much harder! trust me kiddies, Don't screw up lol!

Did anyone say this kid couldn't whip? 3 days and a few little tips I gave Adam, he goes out and pulls this absolute monstor out!! He only got the one big one and almost shat his new Fox pants, but I think you will all agree this is Awesome by anyone's standards ;)

Oh, once again for anyone who cares, notice my right arm there, that's how much movement I have in it after the reconstruction. I've been doin 6 hours of my own physio on it everyday and hoping to Freestyle again in the next few months instead of the expected 12 months. It hurts like buggery to get it there and I'm popping painkillers like their M & M's but dammit I'll get there :p

Finally.... Heelclickers, He couldn't get them off cos he's so damn unflexible, but he pushed it harder and harder and finally got them, this was a major feat within itself, so what did he do, double heelclicker aswell :D swish

hey mate i bought it. u might remember if u read freerider i few months back there was a add for a ramp owned by jono porter. so i went and bought. it is great to hit its really smooth.

Here's Sam and Adam, just getting started at 30 foot. It's an awesome setup, the jump is pretty much a step up and the downramp is huge!! Even Jayden and Richo think it's the best downramp they've hit, so Kudo's to Adam on a sweet setup getting the nod from Aussies best :D

I think he was checkin to see if he had shat his pants from bustin big all day, truly magnificent stuff... Adam's has been hitting the ramp for 6 weeks and he's at 70 foot already, you can't stop the kid ;)

Thanks to Adam for having everyone out there and to his mum and dad for putting up with us and even getting in on the show hehe. Good to see Rory back on his bike and Lisa and Kell both came out to watch aswell (Pic_taken_chick and bg_V)... Lets just hope Macca's will let us in next time we're hungry haha

BTW Ladies and Gents he DID get some noice roostage and at the end of the day a bit of right handed throttle action, the grin on his face was priceless, as was the grounded heel clickers! The grin on Rory's face was the same when he got back on the bike and then eventually hit the ramp... YES the cat is out of the bag and despite me beggin him not to be a dumb ass and havin one very pissed gf (sorry Kate) and me nearly passing out from holding my breath, Rory was loving getting back in the air at a gap of 30ft (I think, correct me if I'm wrong Adam) He even busted some very small moves (I would have killed him if he'd done bigger) and I believe Lis captured it on film but as usual because we are behind the times here in hicksville we have to wait for development b4 we can post em up.

Adam you rode awesome and you have it good where you are *two thumbs up* Don't move EVER... :D

I have to admit while I was there for pics I was um... a smidge jealous of you boys... standing there cam in hand wishin I could be roosting it up with ya... *sigh* oh well I guess being pillion and having Rowdy burl around will have to do for now. But NOT FOREVER.... [insert evil laugh] stay tuned boys and girls... ;)

Rowdy's HQ ute breakin down on the way home was funny and we even captured the moment (see moto chicks thread) with me jumping on the bike while stationary on the side of the highway. LMAO spose you had to be there.

Well hello Kate and welcome to the forums :D... We all tried to stop him... maybe could have tried more but he was destined to jump none-the-less, but it was good he was fully under control and loved it :)

And thanks for all the replys of letting me know how silly I am for riding with a buggered shoulder :p... I aim to impress hehe, but yeah I was under control and knew what I was doing. The fact I got back on is a huge confidence builder for me and I hope to be back jumping in at least half the time the doctors expect. I'll be seeing my specialist next week and show him just how good I've been recovering and hopefully he'll agree I'm gonna be ready sooner than expected. :afro:

He got seriously busted last night when he told me. He could of ended up with the tube in his lungs! I was not impressed. All is good!

He had to stay overnite at the hospital to get the trachy out and there was another mx'er in the opposite bed. He was doing track work, landed in a mud pit and went over the bars. He's got a coupla broken ribs and is a bit sore atm. Name is Luke and works at Noyes Motorcycles in Ipswich. Hope he gets better soon and is back on the bike. I left the hospital last nite to the two boys talking it up.

Thanks for the welcome Snitz! You and Rory should both be shot for riding with injuries. But ur right it is a big part in getting better, u need the confidence to get back on and the sooner the better. I just wished Rory waited until after the tube came out! Oh well...boys will be boys!
