Friday Night Recap
When the smoked cleared it was the FOX rider Beau Bamberg taking home the win Friday night just narrowly edging out Nate Adams. Nate, in his first IFMA of the year put on a great ride but in the end it was Beau’s 93.0 that just narrowly beat out Nate’s 92.9. Worchester was also good to another rider on the tour Jimmy McGuire. Jimmy put together a solid run to take the final podium spot with a third in the main.
Matt Knesek also returned to the tour after being on injured leave with a broken foot. Although Matt did not make the main event it was still a very solid effort for the kid from Nevada. After winning the opening round in Sacramento, Adam Jones had a night he would rather forget. The Kawasaki mounted rider ended up the evening with a disappointing seventh in the main event but at this level of competition it is really anyone’s game.
Stay tuned for more results from Worchester. There are still two events left in Worchester with the riders pulling double duty on Saturday with two shows. Will Beau be able to repeat? Stay tuned……

Saturday Afternoon Recap
The thought of the three shows in one city in on one weekend for Freestyle motocross is now a reality. The Centrum Center had a huge crowd for the Saturday afternoon show. In the two in and a half hour show the crowd was blown away by the new inventive moved the athleticism of the athletes and the first time ever synchronized jumping. I will first talk about the tandem jumping. Five teams were set up in which the were both to go off of two side by side seventy foot jumps and pull off a mirrored image of the same trick. The winner this afternoon was last nights winner Beau Bamburg and this afternoons winner Adam Jones pulling off and identical Kiss of Death. The neat part of the contest is it was judged by Worchester’s very own fans. The purse was $600 and then after the contest there was a ten-man train, it looked awesome! Adam Jones was able to pull the win from under Nate Adams by just one tenth of a point. Nate Adams in the last two contests here in Worchester has gotten second by one tenth both nights. I have a feeling tonight is going to be his night. Myles Richmond pulled a 7th off today but I have to say what a talented rider who I feel will have a great career in Freestyle. Chris Dennison a person I have seen grow up with the IFMA has done nothing but impress me with his awesome learning curve. It seems every week he is with us he comes out more confident and with one or two more A list tricks. The one major bonus about the dual shows (Robbie Floyd is in Philly) is the fact that 15 more riders get to show their skills on the course. The talent is out there and I am thankful to Clearchannel to give so many of us the opportunity to show our skills.
Well Lunch is served,
So Lurch is eating!

Saturday Evening Recap
Three events complete and three different winners. The weird twist on this story is that Nate Adams was the second place finisher on both Friday and Saturday afternoon to Beau Bamberg and Adam Jones. Tonight was Nate’s night. The way it boiled down was that Adam was trying to knock of Nate but going down on the first jump was not going to allow that to happen. The real shame is that he had such a great run after getting up that the crowd booed we he didn’t take over the hot seat. Nate had one more heavy hitter to get through Beau Bamberg. Beau was spot on with a major display of variation and style. He did have a whip that was so laid over that even the riders were on their feet cheering him on. Beau had a great moneymaking weekend winning the team competition along with Adam Jones. All and all it was a great weekend but I was thinking about it and I screamed for 7 ½ hours so it would be like going to your 9 to 5 and yelling everything you say!
Lurch has a headache!
I’ll take two aspirin and call you in the morning!
