For the Rock Solid you need to know how to do a Double Grab, and preferably be able to do a One Handed Grab. When you let go of the grab holes, you want to make sure you're close as possible to the bike so you don't end up falling to the ground Without the bike! Sturto would attest to this fact when he did the exact same thing, nice little X-Ray he showed me of it too lol.
1. Approach the ramp as you would normally, aim up the centre of the ramp and make sure to keep the front of the bike down, so when you are letting go off the back it doesn't Loop out on you.
2. As you leave the ramp, you want to begin straight away leaving the bike and beginning to do a Double Grab. Grab the grab holes tight, get your body downy low and keep your legs coming up and straightening to at least horizontal, but preferably higher for better extension :)
3. When you have extended back into a double grab position, you want to make sure your body is very low to the bike, your arms should be bent alot to do this, and keep your head around the seat, not the back fender. Now what you can first do to get used to a Rock Solid, is firstly let go with ONE hand. Left or Right it doesn't matter, whatever you feel comfortable with. Get the Grab and let go and try to extend your one arm out straight to the side. When you get comfortable with this, you can even put that arm down by your side and there is a stylish looking One Handed Seat Grab.
4. Now that you're comfortable taking off one hand, you need to take a leap of faith, and let go with both hands at the same time. When you get both grab holes secure, and your body is as close to the bike as possible, you want to then pull hard on the grab holes and pull the bike up, as you do this, you simply let go with both hands and try to extend them out to the sides.
Hoorah! You're first Rock Solid, oh wait, you want to land now....
5. Now hopefully if you've done everything right, you floated just above your bike, make sure you've watched exactly where your hands left the grabs, where they are while floating, and then to be able to direct them straight back to the grab holes. You need to get the grabs, grab hard and then pull the bike backwards, and do this forcefully. This will give you the momentum to get back up onto the bike for a safe landing as per a normal Double Grab.
Make sure you feel completely comfortable with everything before doing a Rock Solid, if you have doubts about it, then don't do it!!
Anyway, I hope you have fun doing this trick, It gives me the biggest rush to do this trick, definetly one of my favourites and hope you guys feel the same thing... Good Luck

Pic - (Nick Franklin - X-Air) You can see Nick keeps his body very close to the bike, he even arches his back to keep his body down. He isn't more than 6 inches away from the seat with his chest and his head is about in the middle of the seat, overall a well-executed Rock Solid - Do it like this and maybe some day you'll be in X-Air beside him :D
