I live in brizzie too. tho i don't have my bike here, it's at my parents place bout 2 hours north. i go home and freestyle every second weekend at my progressivly forming compound. there isn't much there yet, but i'm workin on it. 65 footer at moment, and another couple of piles of dirt (they're not jumps, they're shit, but i'm gonna make it into an 80 footer or something next weekend. and already started on metal ramp. Does anyone know if there is any demos or comps coming up in the brizzie area... if not South East Queensland area?

Dude not sure exactly yet... I'll most likey be out in the Toowong area as I'm in IT and all the IT companies seem to nest there.. I was thinking about moving further down the coast and buying a property but I'll be f#cked if I'm going to drive an extra hour each way per day just so I can cut loose on weekends...

yeah man i agree.. yeah i live at indooroopilly which is like 5 minutes form towong so man if you ever need a mate to ride with im here.. but just to let ya know man im not to good at freetyle... i love it to death i try it every time i can but i do races and i'm better at racing... but if oyu ever want a freestyleing riding mate im here and if you ever want to go around looking and trying out tracks i'm in on that... but yeah man toowong is a nice area... but i sugest indrooo man.... toowongs a lil too close to the city for me but thats my opinion...

Been riding for over 20 years... I see myself as more of a "freerider" than a FMXer or MXer... Not really big on huge tricks as I'm starting to get a little old for that type of thing and it takes a lot longer to heal when it all goes bad.... Hadn't ridden a MX for close to 10 years when a mate of mine talked me into buying a '01 CR250.. Gotta say at first I found it a little intimidating but I'm slowly getting the swing of it... Broke my wrist and dislocated my jaw after a big off late last year... Took a while to get the balls up to get on it again... Been riding a fair bit since and all is now good..

Dude at the moment I'll ride anywhere.. My mate say's I can't ride out at his place at the moment 'cause I keep tearing up his farm... Last month or so I've been out with a few young guys from around here (Canberra)... They have been teaching me a lot from an MX perspective... I just hit my first kicker on Saturday... Took me a long time to find one around here.... One of the young guys found it for us... Champion... Only got four hits before one of the youngsters had a big off and needed an ambo ride back to Canberra... He'll be OK... Six weeks in plaster.. Easy...

Hey, i Live at Alderley, on the north side. and yeah i been to oxley once last year, just to see some racing (at the time i had no bike, and i was desperate to smell some 2 stroke fumes!) but yeah, i've never raced but been riding for 15 years. it's not a bad track out there either. how often u ride there? do u ride anywhere else?
i'd like to see more demo's around the place too, doesn't seem to be many at all.

Men, i have an 01 RM250 and am aways looking for hassel free places to ride, if you know of any and don't mind inviting others then send me a message, i'm always keen.

cos that's pretty much between here and where i go to ride every second weekend (Maryborough). i live on north side, but at alderley, which is a fair hike from boondall. yeah i haven't found many places either, that's why i'm makin my own compound, but dirt is plentiful with a 700 acre farm and a tractor LOL

hey fellers, I live in Brissy and I hate it, hey "snitz" did ya ride much in Canberra, cause I use to live there and I recon there is plenty more places to ride there...dont have a bike at the moment, sold it to get some money for a 4wd...and probabily wont have one till early next year, which is pretty ****ed up, but the is a few jumps out Forest Lake way, I live in forest Lake, they are out near a few power lines, only about 40-50 foot doubles with little canyons in the middle......very hard to clear...limited run up.....I hit em in 3rd going up hill on a RMX 250...

i had RMX few years back, 99", started my freestylin back then haha... heelclickers, supermans no handers and stuff off a 20 footer lol... then i sold it - week after i sold it to this guy, somebody stole it off him ... bit unlucky but shit i laughed.

yamaha-freak you ride at wheelstanders right?? that's where i used to be a member and race at back in about 95,. top track, i've always liked it and still do, but no licence and no intension in getting one as i nolong race, i'm just riding for the fun factor these days, and besides i think that the cost of a licence is just to high. the good old days of jioning a club for 30 odd bucks and using their track on practise days are long gone, and i refuse to pay $80 for a rec licence, i don't need to ride in front of a MAQ offical to know i am capable of cutting laps on a moto track

If your going out to ride this weekend could you ask a club offical about one day/event licences, you used to be able to rock up on a race day a buy an event licence for the day and race, i took heaps of mates to wheelstanders and did this back in 95/96, if it's still avalible i'll come out and ride one day

yeah wildhorse i think it is still avalible but it will cost you $30 for the day lisence and the the extra $15 or $10 for the race or practise... yeaH im going out there this weekend because i have to race out there.... you should come out and watch??? if you do look for a yamaha with a yellow frame with the numbers 264.... thats me.... but i'll ask for you just to make sure... ok

Mate and i went to kilcoy motox track on sunday for a look. And have decided that we are now going to jion a club and get rec liciences, So that brings me to another question? which club to jion? Kilcoy, Wheelstanders, or the club with the new tracks at nudgee. any tracks further away than this aren't any good to my mate and i as we only wish to travel about an hour. so what do you all think, which club's the better to jion??????

well wildhorse ... you join one club and get a club racing license even if your not going to race then that means you can ride at any club in queensland.... or you could just get the rec license and join like 2 clubs coz the membership for clubs is only like $40 for a year but seeing as it's half way throuhg the year allready it would only be lik$30 or $20...... so i'f ya join one join whellstanders mate..... it's awsome.... pic_taking_chick....yeah you can come take some pics of me riding if you want or just some people at my club.... do you know or have you heard of wheelstanders??? if you have there are tons of good riders out there... ooo yeah and im sponsered by Moto-x-tech they design and make thier own suspension which i think is good.... but its for racing not freestyle so im kinda anoyed bout that one...

Yamaha-freak, I think someone may have misslead you a little in regards to licensing. Jion one club, Get rec license and ride on any track at any clubs practise days. We've decided to jion Kilcoy, but will come out to wheelstanders on one of the practise days.

Spana- there are two tracks that have been constructed at nudgee, one supercross and one motocross. Spoke to the man behind this yesterday, no club at present , it is a rider training facilaty, there are possible plans to form a club but it's a long way down the pipe line.

hey man yeah i'm still in brizzie, drivin home every weekend to go riding (or lack there of as of late) just personal reasons. but im gettin back started on makin me ramp, drivin tractor around for ages to find more dirt for downramps and all the dirt jumps i have at the moment, and just yeah bout to fix up shocks on me bike after a litttle incident involving mum comin up a hill on her quad, and me goin down on it 3rd pinned powersliding.... so i just layed the front wheel under the frame of her quad so it wouldn't flip over onto her, and ijust bailed over the hangers to a glorius 9.5 score landing on my feet! lol.

yeah hit a snag as of late - been flatout helpin the old man out on the farm.. but hopefully that should slow down a fraction this w/e, so i can keep makin crap around the place
just maintainin of the jumps takes the most time, cos cows for some unkown reason want to walk all over fresh dirt!!
but yeah my compound when finished will have 2 downramps on either side of a dam, with 60, 80, 130 foot hits to one of the downramps, and a ramp for the other downramp. then to use one of the downramps to actually be a ramp to jump the dam to land on the downramp on the other side, and also use the dam wall as a huge tabletop of about 150 foot. this is gonna take me ALONG time to get all the dirt for all this though, but that's the plan.
at the moment i have the 60 footer and one downramp made (the downy needs more dirt though for the bigger hits, and i have the dirt ready for the other downy on the other side, so yeah... should be good when finished!!
that and got a 65 with huge safety top on it in another spot of the farm

yeah my parents hated me riding when i was livin there, never let me race, but i still rode on the farm as fast as i could, and yeah were never impressed when i started jumpin bigger and bigger but they know this is what i wanna do, so they're lettin me do it... keep workin on them mate, u'll come up trumps soon
cos i got a friend who comes up to ride wtih me who's 16, and his parents... oh man... very very protective. i'm sure they hate me to death after he had a spill a couple weeks ago, just nose dived and lost it... but yeah they're still lettin him come up which i never thought would happen, so if u keep tryin u'll get there
