Am thinking of putting black plastics on the RMZ but were wondering how they stand up to time. Do they fade and look crap quickly? Do they show scratches easily?

they dont fade bad at all but they get scratched easily adn show it. they still look sick adn you could get some PC Racing Plastic Renew. i bought it to use on my black plastics and it takes a while to bake em look perfect but it works, took be about an hour and a half to do the fenders and number plates (that time includes the time you have to let it dry inbetween coats

i had mine for about 6 months and they still looked alright.

if u get some, get that clear contact stuff or black backgrounds for the side panels.

heres a pic of what mine looked like after 6 months

can you put newer model plastics on an older model bike?

depends what bike ??

the only thing that will probabbly work on most bikes is the front mudguard and number plate.

u can do the other shit like side panels, rear mudguard. but u have to spend $$$ for that......... airbox, airfilter, sub-frame,

na i got a kx 125 92 mod an i was thinkin of puttin newer slender lookin black gaurds on it,will they fit?

no they wont, the only things that will fit are the front mudguard, front number plate and maybe the fork guards.

frame guards will fit probably all 92-02 kx's.

u can get black plastics for 92 modles anyway, and they are the same all the way through to 98.

well, i think its all the same from 92-98. or 94-98.

something like that, but my kx125 manual says 92-98 on the front

the gaurds look completaly different, maybe the holes are the same and the actual plastic has actually changed,i know i can only put 'graphics on it cos the shroud shape changed.
