Hey,

I have seen some tricks end in no hand landings, it looks pretty straight forward. I can do leg things, can can, nac nac, heel clicker etc. I tried taking my left hand off the bars for a 1 hand lander, and straight away I did a big air wheelie and landed awkwardly. Then I thought it didn't work like that and you need to take both hands off, so I did that and quickly grabbed the bars again because of a nose dive.
How can something so simply be so tricky??

How do you do it?

take ur right hand off cos if u land with the other hand off and ur right hand on u can some times pull the throttle back when u land and dnt know how u wheelie when u take ur hand off the bars u might be pushing down with ur feet cos u dnt want to come off

is ur bike level in the air when u take ur hand off?

the way i learnt to do a no hander lander is when i get the bike level in the air and make sure u are gonna land down ramp and then just let go and hold your hands above your head and u will land and ride off unless u didnt level bike up probly in air

is it more difficult on a fourstroke because of the engine braking
i imagine it could be an issue or do u put it in neutral whilst airborn

Steering damper could help.

Yeah, its a really easy/smooth 80ft'er.
I give a few revs before I land and I keep on the throttle in the air a bit to stop it from nose diving.
I managed to kind of do it... sorta.
I landed a 30ft with no hands, but my ass smacked the seat and I bounced up and just grabbed the bars before I was about to slide off the back -_-
I'm glad nobody saw it.

hahah, thats embarrasing ^^
haha.

just do it exact same as normal, but before you land, take your hands off, just a little bit, then grab back on quickly. as you do this more you will gain confidence and end up being able to land with hands up :).

i was a bit iffy when i first did one but i found a nice jump that i was comfortable on, jumped it a few times on a row consistently and then just went for it. Thats what worked with me. d.frangos's idea sounds pretty good to.

Yeah I was getting kinda ok at them, fallen off a few times but nothing major. I thought it would be easier on an MTB at skate park so I thought i'd be a show off and do a no hander while some people were watching so I gave it a shot and the front wheel dived straight away and i landed in a over-extended tsunami type thing and arched my back on my front wheel and lay on the ground wheezing until I could breathe again. No hand landers are shit and thats it

haha nice.... just find a jump that your comfortable enough not to have to control the bike at all in the air, then start by one hand at a time, then once you got the no handers, try a landing without them but keep em close, incase your bars turn, when you first try em.

good luck with em, n make sure u squeez with your nees otherwise you might bust out a nothing haha
