who has cut there silencer down a lil

Yu have to lop em down to just the right point to get the most out of em. Otherwise you could just be wasting your time.

i cut about 5 or so centimetres off my pro circuit. i did get a small gain in bottom end, but i feel wot i gained in bottom end, i lost in top end. also, be warned, it makes ya bike very very loud, mine screams now, more so than before lol

u cut the end furthest from the motor off so that the mounts are still in the same spot

cutting it down only moves the power from one area to a different area, if you want more power, get a small front sprocket, or way larger rear if you want some serious power gains.
from me droping mine 2 teeth at the fornt ive lowered my top speed but have about 20% more power down low.
this helps bring powerband on almost instantly. ive got so much trouble jsut keeping the bike down around the track now.
jsut some idears. but sometimes it looks and sounds cool with ya silencer cut down.

i was thinking if i cut it from the end closest to the motor so that when i cut it the end monunt would line up with the second mounts hole being that i wound be smaller and only need to be held in place with one mount

u probably could do that but we i cut mine i cut it from the end furthest away from the motor and i just under half off

yea i cut my muff down on my 03 cr250 so its not seen when side on and when ya flip it you dont snap/bend it, noisy but, aparently you loose a bit of botom end power, didnt notice but.
