So we hit the road on friday lunch for the 6 hours drive south to rocky for the next 2 rounds of the CQ. Got to yeppoon bout 7 30 and hit the pubs for a while, nice place, very laid back like home.
Anyhow 6am and after under 6 hours sleep we headed for the yepoon MX track. It is actually right near the Dump but don't let that scare ya, what a fantastic layout. The canteen, pits etc is all on top of a slight hill and you can see the whole track from there.
See Below
PS, Sorry FMF honda dude for not checking that other thread.

The track is basic clay, a little hard, rutted up ok and is pretty basic except for a fairly massive table top! By the end of the day I actually had my front forks case out hitting the upramp. Very fun to race around.

In the last race Steven (mate that was with us) Pinched his front tube, we managed to buy one from a guy at the track, motorcross people are so kind. One offered to open is tyre business and change it for us! we declined.
We drove into rocky and went for a qiuck squizz at the Rocky track.
AWESOME, JUST AWESOME.
This is the back straight, talk about a REAL mx track. Lovely loose dirt well watered, we were too keen! We went back to where we were staying and washed the bikes and gear and changed the tyre. Racked up and played some pool downstairs (lucky they had a pool table) Had some dinner, did a cruise and hit the sack.

Steve broke hiss collarbone in the last race, got taken to hospital. I still had one race left. Got a great start, fourth into the first corner, Another rider on a suzi crashed in front and i hit him and got hit from behind, ended up with my bike on top of the guy and another on top of mine. Got him out, straighten my bars and was half a lap behind last place, not really pleased seen as i got 8th in the previous race, but it happens. A exaust must have burnt one of my number plates, its a little melted. At least it wasn't my leg!
Another rider crashed and suffered a Broken leg, arm and shoulder, man thats gotta hurt BAD!
Cheers, that's about it. Everyone at the Rocky Base hospital treated us great. Steve got a cuff and collar put one and we left the hospital at 730pm for drive home with 4 panadol! poor guy, we were in my lowered commodore towing 3 bikes on a trailer with the car too packed up. Rough as guts ride for 6 hours. he wasn't feeling real crash hot when we got home at 1am.
That's the game we play!
