The Hart Attack is simply a progression of the Superman Seat Grab. You'll be getting more and more extension with your legs up with your seat grabs and you'll now want to try and get a Hart Attack which is where you are vertical on top of the bike while holding the Seat Grab.

To do this trick, you will need a fairly good sized gap, about 60 foot or more, and be able to get very good extensions already on your seat grabs. If you can't Seat Grab yet, you can read the guide here: http://www.fmxaustralia.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3308

1. When you approach the ramp, you want to have your body in a good position to move off the bike as soon as you leave the ramp. Keep your body fairly low to the bike and keep your helmet down a little more than normal. So when you leave the ramp you'll be able to quickly move into the Hart Attack.

2. As soon as you leave the ramp, you want to grab your seat grab, and begin pushing down hard on the bike with this grab. As your starting to push down, your legs should already have left the pegs and beginning to come up. Make sure to keep your body crunched in close to your body during this stage!
*** This stage needs to be done fairly quick, within a few bike lengths of leaving the ramp, make sure you get used to doing tricks as soon as you leave the ramp as it will give you plenty of time to extend and

3. Now you've pushed your body up, you need to start straightening your back and trying to arch your back hard. Bring your helmet down so you're looking at the tank (This will make extension easier!!) Keep pushing hard on the bike with your Grab hand, which controls exactly what your body does.

4. Once your back is arched up, and your looking down at the tank, your Grab arm should be almost straight, this means you'll be almost vertical, and all you need to do now is Straighten your legs high up into the air! Your First Hart Attack!!!!

5. Now to come back down, you need to almost let go of your legs and back.. They will automatically start to drop back down to earth. You then need to pull hard on the Grab, but don't let go of the grab until your feet are almost on the pegs. Once your body is right back down you can grab back onto the bars. This is so you can direct your legs down easier holding the grab than by the handlebars.

To Extend the Hart Attack, you can do a few things:

Lookback Hart Attack : As you're pushing your body, simply try and pull your chin to your chest, so you are looking backwards whilst doing the hart attack. You need to be confident in looking backwards otherwise you might feel a little disorientated. When you reach full Hart Attack, you need to move your head back so your looking forward before you'll be able to bring your body back down for landing

Scorpion Hart Attack : When you've reached full extension of your legs in the hart attack, you want to then arch your back as hard as you can and try point your feet forward as much as you can. Push harder on the grab to push your body forward while upside down and you will get a Scorpion.

The Hart Attack is more about technique than anything so practise makes perfect!! Read over this guide and go through it in your head about what you need to do and go out and keep practising! Good Luck!!!

"How-To" - Helicopter

The Helicopter is yet another progression of the Hart Attack. You are merely doing a hart attack, but with your legs, you want to bend them at 90 degrees at the knees and this will make your legs look effectively like a helicopter.

As this is simply extension of the Hart Attack, I will begin this guide from Step 3 of the Hart Attack Guide.
"3. Now you've pushed your body up, you need to start straightening your back and trying to arch your back hard. Bring your helmet down so you're looking at the tank (This will make extension easier!!) Keep pushing hard on the bike with your Grab hand, which controls exactly what your body does."

So when you are straightening your back, you want to put a twist in your hips. You need to try turn your hips either to the left or right (Generally to the left). This will help when it comes time to position your legs correctly. TIP - It's easier to twist your hips if you pull hard on the Grab hole with your arm, it will help your body twist

Now what you need to do with your legs, is bring them up, in the same style as an Indian Air. When your legs are beginning to become vertical above your head, you want to bend your right hip to 90 degrees in forward flexion... While you do this on the right leg, you then need to bend your knee back at 90 degrees aswell, so everything is at right angles. When you have the right leg in this position, you then need to keep your left hip straight above your head, but have your left knee bent at 90 degrees. This is what makes the trick look like a helicoptor. It is quite difficult to explain this trick, but when you read over this a couple of times, and look at my picture, you will be able to see what I mean. :read:

This is the Helicoptor (Which I find is a little different from a Hart Attack Indy, which the legs are kept relatively straight in a hart attack position but split like an Indy air)

Good Luck guys! (Can you understand that guide, If you can't, just ask me for more tips to figure it out)
