Spray the neighbourhood!.......The craziest cats in freestyle motocross return to OZ this May & June with an all-new FMX extravaganza.
Melbourne – May 21/22; Sydney – May 28/29; Brisbane – June 4/5
The craziest cats in freestyle motocross, the Crusty Demons of Dirt, return to Australia this May/June with their Nine Lives Tour of death defying bike tricks and mad freestyle MX action, pyrotechnics and all new amazing stunts. Playing Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and with tickets on sale now (Ticketek),
the 2004 show will see arenas transformed into derelict industrial warehouses - the perfect location for these stray “Crusty” cats to strut their mind blowing dirtbike antics aboard their 50 horsepower, 100 kilogram motocross bikes.
The multi million dollar stadium spectacular boasts the talents of former World Champion of Freestyle and X Games gold medalist Brian Deegan, back from horrific injuries suffered in January and set to perform with Gravity Games gold medalist Nate Adams pulling his incredible combination trick, the backflip heel clicker, for the first ever time in Australia!
Crusty legend Seth Enslow will also perform a death defying stunt, the details of which will remain top secret until show time. Also headlining will be XXX stunt double and freeriding extraordinaire Jeremy ‘Twitch’ Stenburg along with revered Crusty legends Mad Mike Jones and Ronnie Faisst.
From the blackblocks of Newcastle to his life now as a Crusty in Southern California, Australian crowd favourite Dayne Kinnaird returns. Fresh from his silver medal effort at the ESPN Winter X Games in Aspen, the Aussie master is set to thrill crowds with more tricks, movements and flare in his combo jumps than any other rider on the planet. Other Aussies include recently voted OZ/NZ Rider Peer poll winner Melbourne’s Luke Urek & returning from a huge crash in NZ that saw him on life support, Kiama’s Robbie Maddison, the mind-blowing up-and-comer who made a clean-sweep of recent ‘King of The Coast’ FMX.
Promising more energy, more mayhem and more madness than their sell-out tour of 2003, the all-new Crusty Demons show sees sheer innovation and fearless acrobatics from the Crustys; Bubba back and babbling; the Freaks and their gut-wrenching stunts; the gorgeous all dancing Crusty Babes; and a finish that’s set to blow your mind!
Crusty Demons- The Nine Lives Tour; ‘coz the death-defying action ain’t though yet!!
ABOUT THE CRUSTYS & THEIR NINE LIVES TOUR….
According to Brewer's Dictionary of Phrase & Fable, a cat is said to have nine lives because it is "most tenacious of life of any animal." But if having nine lives is the sole domain of fearless acrobats who always land on their feet, those notorious for stealth, poise and athleticism, or even those who have the knack of dodging death by a whisker, then cats aren’t the only creatures with nine lives!
Meet the Crusty Demons team, the absolute craziest cats in freestyle motocross. Known for their blatant disregard for life and limb while putting their motorbikes through some of the most mind-blowing aerial stunts known to man, the Crusty Demons of Dirt launched their sport in 1994 with action videos of their outlandish bike tricks performed against the backdrops of the deserts, sand dunes and arid landscapes of California. Now
the most widely viewed action sports videos of all time –and with nine videos to their credit filmed in such awesome locations as Peru, Africa, Brazil, the USA, Japan, NZ and Oz – the Crustys are revered to fans of the sport they helped pioneer, freestyle motocross. The Crustys have just released video number nine, called appropriately, Nine Lives.
Why are they called the Crusty Demons of Dirt ? With their domain the desert, and the pressure of performing high energy, perspiration sapping antics for the cameras, the riders
would emerge at the end of a day’s filming with their faces covered in a crust of red desert sand..hence their name..the Crusty Demons of Dirt.
