Alrite guys, I have had alot of people asking me how to do this trick and how to do that trick. And being the nice guy that I am, and my current situation of being incapacitated from riding, working and going to uni.. (even cutting a piece of steak) I thought I'd help you all out with guides on how to do all the tricks we see in the videos and competitions.
The idea is - I type up how to do it, and then because this is a forum, you can go out and try it... if for some reason you can't seem to get the trick, just post a question on how you can do it and I'll be happy to answer. - If I can't answer it, I'm sure there's alot of blokes I know that can give you a hand also :D
If you would like me to type up a trick and give you a step by step instruction on how to go about it, let me know... If it's a good idea and I won't be wasting my time, or you would actually like to see some and see if I can help.

Also, I'd like to add that All these guides are Copyright © Steve Sommerfeld 2004 All rights reserved. I suprised myself at how much work I've been putting into them, so I better play it safe. I'm very happy that you all use them for your own use, but if you want to have on site or sell... Just ask me for permission :) Anyway, if you have any more questions about tricks i've done, have problems, or just want to post a pic of your successes, by all means show the rest of us as we'd love to see progression of your tricks :woot:

G'day Guys, after 2 months, I'm back again with the first of a few more new Trick guides. It is very late at night.. (ok.. early in the morning) and I had nothing better to do, so I wrote up a new guide to One Handed Indy (http://www.fmxaustralia.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&goto=newpost&threadid=8404)
Let me know how you like it, if there is something you might want to add.. and always post up your own tricks when you learn them! It's always great to see members learning and progressing.

And last night I knocked up yet another How-To guide for a Super Can. Check it out here : http://www.fmxaustralia.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8478 .
Have fun with learning all these new tricks.
The tricks I've done lately have been advanced tricks, but if anyone is after beginner and intermediate tricks, definetly come ask me for them, as I should have had them done a long time ago if they aren't already in the forums.

Once again, a big welcome to everyone who's checking the "How-To" Trick Guides, I hope that over the Summer (in Australia) (and my condolensences to our mates over in the cold countries :p) that everyone has been learning newer and bigger tricks!
Anyway, I'm heading to Perth tomorrow for 2 weeks, coming back on the 6th of February, and when I get back, I'm thinking about editing all the tricks I've done guides on, re-read them, try weed out the un-necessary stuff, and try put in more detailed descriptions and illustrations, and then printing out the tricks I have so far. The ultimate aim... to get these published. The first step?
If you anyone would be interested in purchasing a booklet of these tricks, drop a line in here. I haven't thought about a price, but at the moment, I would say $5 to $10.. Just pocket money really. For all the advice, illustrations and pictures which I'll be able to print out alot easier, than on the forums with only one picture per post. And the printed booklet will also feature more beginner tricks, and especially how to do the very basics, to start you on your way to the bigger tricks.
Anyway, leave your thoughts on this here, if you are genuinely interested, PM me and I will get back to you, either while in Perth, or when I get back home.

I want a how to guide by Jamie on how to stand on the seat and do an SSG! :D
The Snitz
28th January 2005, 02:10 PM
Hahaha... I think that guide is only
"Stand on the seat, make sure your balls are huge and hairy... and jump"
Ahh good to see a little interest in the little booklet :)
I know how I want to set it out, and hopefully I'm smart enough to do it on the computer...
but just wondering if you have any suggestions as to what you'd like to see in it, or maybe how you would like it set out?
And Jamie.. lol, you get free coaching on Saturday lol

G'day,
Just dropping a line to let you all know I'm still online, I've just been extremely busy for the past couple of months... Recovering, Riding, and doing the most Study I've done in 1month than I have done in 15 years of School and University!!!
Yes, I still do have plans to do a booklet up, and I have had some positive feedback about it also, so I'm sorry to anybody who has been waiting on it... I've been looking into how to get it printed professionally, and it seems quite a task, so you'll have to bare with me a little longer... also, I have a few more Trick Guides to upload to my site (www.fmxaustralia.com/~thesnitz), so over the next couple of weeks when hopefully my Uni workload drops, I'll once again have time to Update my site and keep you all up with nicely presented Trick Guides ;).
