2005 model CRF's

i saw a thread on fmtx about the 05 crf450 being fuel injected with a new frame, but does ne1 know nethin about the 05crf250? ne1 got ne pics? the reason i ask is im thinkin about gettin a crf250 at the end of the year and i need 2 decide if i wana buy my mates 04 or spend a bit more and get an 05. also ne1 know an expected retail price 4 the 05?

um well they would cost atleast 7,000 to 10,000 and however much ya mate wants to sell his make sure u have a look at the 05 model crfs first. but really i think that the 04 model will be just as good but different likes like plastics etc.......... I carnt get any pics of one just yet but ill try later bro

i heard that the 05's were gonna be a 4 speed insted of 5, its just a rumor though, i think they will cost atleast 9500 - 11000 im thinking coz bikes just go up in price the newer they go, look at www.redbook.com.au, like i have been looking at a new kx125 and the new price goes up 200- 500 each year.

narr i dont reckon they would put a 4 speed in a crf 250 that would be stupid if they did. i tryed to get into they site but i couldnt they you put up there. yeah the kx 125s are sweet man i dont really think they are costing well not down hear anyway. where ya live???

I haven't seen anything of Honda issueing any official word on this new 05 CRF450, but the Rumour Mill surely has it buzzing to be one hell of a bike! Only time will tell what it will have under the bonnet.

Apparently there is a Fuel Injected CRF450 prototype being raced in the Japan Motocross Championships although Honda has not confirmed this but they haven't denied it either. The 05 CRF450 will be getting the 4th generation frame that the 04 CRF250 got this year, the 05 CR125 and 05 CR250 may also get it too. It is doubtful that the 05 CRF250 will be fuel injected as its not even a year old. If the 05 CRF450 does indeed get fuel injecttion look for the CRF250 to get it in 2006. The 05 CRF450 will be a 4 speed but the CRF250 will remain a 5 speed

why would u want only 4 gears in a bike? i dont get it wouldnt more gears give u a better power range?

450cc 4 strokes only need 4 gears because they have a very broad powerband so theres no need for a 5th gear where as 250cc 2 strokes have a narrow powerband so they need a 5th gear. Taking away 5th gear also saves weight.

and i think they have a unicam instead of a twincam for the crf's
so you have to change gears more than the yzf, rmz, and kxf. Thats what ive heard but i mite be wrong.

oh ok i still dont c how loosing a gear can make that bike betta but i spose the guys at honda no wat there talkin about

ur right ryan they do have a unicam;) i spent the weekend with me brother riding his crf 250 04 and he was explainin all the bizzo's to me but i cant remember the stuff about the unicam hehe sorry

i as told by a meachanic that a 250 just doesnt have the power for fou gears. they simply would just be slow and take alot longer to pick up speed comaprred to 5 or 6gears

ZY450F is four speed

and on the topic.. id definately wait to hear what the experts say about the 05 CRF250. If u think back to the first CRF450 everyone though it was good... but then for the second one they got rid of a few of the bugs and suddenly it was insanely good. So yeah, the 05 250 might be a lot better... or it might not lol
