cutting my muffler

i want 2 cut my muffler shorter but wat i want 2 no is how much 2 cut off? its the stock muffler on my 93yz125. i want 2 do this so i get a bit more bottom end power and also so it looks better coz now it sticks out behind the number plates heaps and looks crap.

just get a fmf shorty muffler f*ck cuttin ya muffler in half! it wont do anything apart from make more of a shitty noise from my experience plus shortys rip.

fmfs dont have that little pipe bit at the end which makes it a little bit shorter i think.

nah they do it just has a cap over it. most mufflers hav a cap on the end now.

My mate has cut his muffler on his old bike from before, which was a 00 yz125, he cut it really short probably even shorter then a pro circu tand it worked good, not sure if it gave him much mor epower but people rekons it doesn work.

yeh i dont wana buy nethin 4 my bike coz im tryin 2 get a new 1 at the end of the year.
i think i might cut about 1/3-1/2 off do u think that will be 2 much or about right?

if your going to sell it why not just leave it or buy a new 1 and stick the old 1 back on when you sell it.

hey bro, just get the hack saw out and mung into her.
i took to my pc a while ago, took off about 65mm. it did give a small increase in the bottom i felt, not drastic, but every little bit adds up aye. this is on a '00 kx 125 by the way.
hope ya not worried about noise though lol. you'll be surprised how much louder ya bike gets

why dont you just cut some of the engine pipe

I Believe if they cut the Pipe, it would then not meet up with the bolts to bolt onto teh bike, needing to weld on a few nuts and bugger around to make it fit. It's probably easier just to cut the end off the silencer.

i cut it a few days ago. i took 14cm off which made it 20cm long. it gave a little bit more bottom end and sounded alot crisper but not much louder. it also looks a lot betta because b4 i cut it it would stick out from behind the side plates. i mite get a pic later 2day
