Hey all I play a bit of guitar on the side for fun. Was gonna quit but its too fun!

Been Playing for about 3 years on and off however last 12 months been hooking into it!

I mainly play old metal, prog and now gonna start playing newer stuff with heavy tunings for something different. Learnt a few scales so I sound alright now!

I will be starting a myspace music soon just gotta learn more about recording!

As you can see in the pics I got a project as well. Its gonna have a seymour duncan screamon demon in it and painted some ratty colour.

ive got one of those crap ibanez starter packs. I gave up after a while because i cant reach over a fret at the top of the neck lol

Practice mate, ya fingers will stretch. There is no one who can play good from the moment they pick up a guitar. I started with a shitty 15 watt squier amp and I sucked badly! But jamming with others, using guitar pro and getting influenced soon changed things.

I play guitar, been playing for about 4 years or so. I have a 1983 fender jap strat. Mostly play Peppers stuff, powder finder, kings of leon, pearl jam. That kind of stuff. Its awesome fun, just have to upgrade amps in a few months time.

ive had a guitar for about 4 yrs..only started realy playing at the end of last year...had 4 or 5 lessons when i was younger too.

stuff that i play is heaps diffrent

e,g i get into parkway drive and carpathian and that...but dig playing ben harper and things alike on th accoustic

i was just about to start a new thread on which guitar to get. i got a bc rich SOB ( son of beast)
i brought a hardcase for it and is a complete ***** to get on the bus so im going to sell it
any guess how much i would get for a perfect bc rich beast, hardcase, soft case, amp and cord? im looking for 1000?

anyways beside that point about me getting a new guitar. i play blues and metal. my main influences are slipknot, jimmy hendrix and machine head. been playing for about a year. im not to good but i know my scales and a few good tunes ( mainly metallica)

ive been playong for like 7 maybe 8 years..had leasons an all.
kinda got out of it for a while cause we went around australia and i couldnt bring it but am starting to use it more now.....i play mostly heavy meatal or accoustis....mostly metallica....i have a casino stage series guitar and a casino 12, 15 watt amp with equalizer....

Sweet a few of you blokes have been playing for a while, so must be good. I just put a George Lynch ESP tiger on lay by! I cant wait to pick it up!

would any of you know if prs's are good? i asked this guy who works at a guitar shop and he said they aint good, BUT then my guitar teacher says they are?!

Yeah i guess you can call me bit of a guitar player.. I play mainly powerchords which is probably easiest form of playing. I play songs from Green Day, Blink 182 and the Ramones and few others here and there. My brother and myself have 6 guitars all up. I mainly play my black Cort strat copy which sounds good for what i do, my bro and I went part halfs in a 1980's Hondo guitar in a cool shade of blue which is a pretty good guitar sounds pretty good, I have a weird green acoustic and my bro has some dodgey acoustic. He's also got a les paul copy and a copy of a Fender bass which is made by Monterey. I play them on my 30watt AXTECH custom made amp with built in distortion and chorus. Brother has a DRIVE 15watt amp he got new with his bass which gets used every blue moon.
