nah probabily not mate, does the spark plug have black shit al over it????
check to see if the gap between the 2 electrode thingos is to big or to small...clean it up with a steel brush and abit of fuel...
If that doesn't work mate, buy a new one and she should be alright...
cheers...

Are you testing the spark by putting it in the bike or holding it against the cylinder and pushing the kickstart? Because my old RM250 used to sorta do that, was real temperamental with plugs that other bikes even would run it wouldn't. So try a fresh one, and check your jetting. If there's no spark when you hold it against the cylinder then there may be a prob with the CDI or the plug cap or something, and you don't want that.

just check all the electrical leads and see if they are all connected right. are u pushing the spark plug cap on hard enough ??
u have to push some down fairly hard for them to click into place.
and was the bike going before u bought it ?

if its not the spark plug or the spark plug leads it could be the cdi or the coil

check to see if the earth for the coil is on metal and no paint is under it to stop it from earthing correctly i had it happen to me once it only did it every now again i move the wire then it would spark move it again and then it wouldnt i just sanded the paint away completly where it mount to the frame and then it worked fine
