Mulishatroop, I wouldn't think scanning the pages from FreeriderMX would be exactly the right thing to do, so what you could do is Email FRMX and ask for the issue with it in.... OR take these 4 little measurements and figure it yourself -
Length - 6.1 Metres
Height - 2.6 Metres
Transition - 9.1Metre Radius
Width - 1.2Metres
Also if you would like all the hard work to be done for you, full ramp plans, amount of steel needed, and fully customised to what you want, simply PM Mungoman45, and I'm sure he'll be able to help you out :)
And no, Scott didn't land the flip, came close but didn't get it

Australian Ramp Design in Sydney but theyre pretty expensive i would just take it to a welders place and leave it with them it would still be cheaper than ard because they wanted like $2300 or something for a ozzy comp ramp and my friend built the same but the dimensions he wanted for like $1100 but if you dont have time to take it to the welders i would just buy it off ARD.
Insane
19th August 2004, 11:21 PM
Ask the pro's though and no ramp is built as good. like or as nice to jump as ARD ramps.. And I aren't just saying that cause I know the ARD crew, the fact is they are the sh*t... While you are out there asking Pro's dont forget to ask Seth, :) one of the reasons he wants to attempt the world record here in Oz is so it can be done off ARD ramps...
Put simply they are Pro Ramps Built By Pros For Pros... Hence they do cost a little bit more, but well worth every cent.... :)

I've heard nothin' but, more than glowing remarks towards the ARD crew, from yourself Adam, Luke Cole on here couldn't put his feelings about them across any stronger or clearer about them being the best ramps in aus built and to use, and from numerous others around the business. I do not doubt this fact at all, and am not trying to say in any way that they're not the best of the best.
However, I just wanna know what makes their way of building so brilliant? Like what do they do differently during the building process that any qualified weilder couldn't do with the appropriate tools, such as a steel bender/roller. It obviously must be something with either the way they physically building them, the steel they use OR the general structual design, if a comp ramp is always done to the exact same specs. Point being, if the transition is rolled perfectly to 9.1 meters, shouldn't all "comp" ramps feel the same?
Now i dont mean to start yet another debate, as the one Luke was involved in, as i stated above, where he couldn't put his point across any clearer about ARD being "the best of the best", but I'm just curious as to what exactly makes them the best of the best?...sort of a "learning lesson" for all those, who wish to make their own ramps, as to how they can go about it any better.

i m wondering the same thing as brad how does a ARD ramp vary from that of any other comp ramp that are kick around i would have thought that it would be like splitting hairs to say there is a huge difference between them
I suppose the materials that are used on the jump could be variation on that of the standard old ply or the checker plate and the surface would probably make a markable difference but apart from that i really have understanding how they differ to other ramps that are being made in aus if any one can tell us the difference i would greatly appreciative so if any one has ridden ard ramp could share the opinions and the things that they like more about the ard ramps can please point em out to us so if any one maybe spook would tell go right ahead i really curious
