Thanks to Sarah, kell, steve and everyone that rang and messages me over the weekend to keep me updated with how it was going, very much appreciated indeed :D No doubt Adam will have a complete listing of what the guys did to win and all the photo's to show for it, so stay tuned
Only one major crash, by some amatuer that didn't do any practise on the saturday what so ever, nose dived his 3rd jump, Sturto pulled out due to bike problems :(. and yes Shui did Flip
And thats about the only major news i can impart on you all for now, but as i said, stay tuned for Adams arrival back here and we shall all be enlightened with a complete run down :)

Mungo,
Dude you missed out big time... Phat weekend... Still got the sun burn to prove it... How good is Shuie.. Rocked up after racing last night... Jumped on the bike and hit the kickers straight up.. Hit the super kicker about four three times.. Asked them to move it back... Had another shot at it.. Then came out a flipped the sucker.. SWEET!!!! GO SHUIE!!! First flip I've seen first hand and he made it look sooo easy..
The amature that crashed out looked like he was going to do it every time he hit the "Red Bull" kicker.. Had like three shots at it and stacked out big time on the fourth... I didn't see the stack as I was on the other side of the course but it can't have been good.. Landed on his head.. Ochhh.. Either way the ambo's sorted him out and it was back to business.. Sturto didn't look too happy out there.. In fact most of them didn't.. I'd say it was the freaky winds... At different times they seemed to prefer different kickers based on the winds from what I can work out..
The 80 footer hardley got a work out at all except from Richo every now and then over the weekend...
Adam dropped the ZXR750 doing a burn out on the Sunday morning.. Basically got seriously side ways and hit some dirt, then got high sided... Looked like he was really pissed off.. I don't understand why as not even Rossi could have ridden that out.. I think Adam needs to take himself a little less seriously (sorry Adam but it's what I think.. I'm not too sure if you hurt yourself but it happened right infront of me and it didn't look too bad)...
One of the am's dropped his bike at the end of his run and did the right thing... Got up gave the bike a rev and then worked the crowd.. The only way to go... At the end of the day it's all about fun...
Most of the wankers in the crowd wouldn't even know who Adam is..
All in all a great weekend... Bikes, cars, chicks and beers... Whoo Hoo..

yeh thats what I was thinkin when adam was rippin the burnouts, and everyone is just standin there like "oh look at that", It was a sick event..And there wasn't a whole lot of FMX fanatics in the croud, mainly families and shit, which is good to have too...but there was alot of ppl there that didn't really appreciate what the riders were pullin off if ya know what I mean.
Luke Cole had a get off, and did somethin to his chest but still rode, they all rode awesome, the Am's too...
As I said in the other thread, I had a chat to Jake bowen, and he said that he didn't ride because of the wind, almost crashin in practice and didn't feel 100% confident, and jake likes to put 100% in to everything he does, and if he cant he wont...He's a awesome guy though, just happy to stand there and hava chat...thanks JAKE...
sick event, cheers>>>TOMMO

Enslow,
Would have made a point catching up with some of you while I was there but I was trying to keep a low profile.... Didn't work!!! Nearly had to punch the crap out of some Bundy #ucked tools on Saturday after explaining to them the difference between a whip and a turn down.. In fact I had to point out the suttle differences between a 250 and a 125 to them come to tink of it...
The hot blonde chick that sat next to me on Saturday arvo got a laugh out of it anyway...
FYI.. If any of you drove down or back from Brissy I was in the Silver GTR sitting between a 160 and 180 all the way... LOVE the Nissan... Can't wait for my R35 to turn up... Then I'm up for a Ferrari 360... Have to wait for the second hand prices to come down a little before I'm ready to commit...

Sturto dropped out because of bike problems (gearing was all wrong on his '04) and yes, Adam did stuff himself up after his crash, skin was a rare site on his back as most of it was left on the ground. He powered on for the rest of the day tho, good on him!

Good to see these events that work right, I think more of the tours for the fmx sport should be ran with the same outcome. Photos look rad too.
