i'm not sure if there is such a thing been done yet but i reckon the council should think about some public fmx tracks, the skaters and shit get there ramps and what not why cant we?
what do you's reckon?

that would b sic but i seriously dout it wil eva happen. skating is different 2 fmx or even just motobikes in general. bikes are a lot louder and its illegal 2 ride em if its not on ur property or at the club mx track.

Plus think about the danger. Skaters in parks go what, 10ft off the ground MAX? FMXers are more around 30-35 so insurance would be crazy I imagine then again I'm not sure on the way that sorta thing works. Also it's really hard to convince a council that there's enough use for it, because in most cases, there isn't. We tried to get the council to help build an MX track, or a facility of any description for bikes, but since there was like 3 of us in pushing for it nothing happened and they're making a skate park now instead. So we ended up doing our own thing and building some stuff on our own land which is good I guess. All the other guys that ride who were too lazy to go to the meetings miss out and have to ride crappy stuff all the time whereas if they had bothered to show up they might've been able to get something decent. Basically most people are too lazy to do what it takes so it most likely wouldn't ever happen.
But say if you had like 100 FMX kids around the place and you managed to get them all in there with a reasonable proposal to the council you might be able to show them the cost would be justified. I don't know. Depends on how good your council is too, some are just useless.
The most realistic way to do it would be to get someone with land, everyone puts in to pay for the setup and helps out, then they all sign a bunch of waivers and stuff for insurance and ride there.

yeh fully i know it'd never happen in my town town but like u said about the waivers and such they usually have warning signs at the front gates or whatever of skateparks, so that could work alright providing people are there to ride and not to sue people, i think it would be a more reasonable request for a place not in surburbia and when ya think about i think it would be cheaper to set up a couple a kickers and some dirt than to build a heap of tricky concrete and rails n shit, but i'm not sure exactly how much cash go's into skateparks on average? anyone have an idea?,anyway it'd still be cool to be able to ride out ya front gate down "the local compound" and have a ride oh well nice dream anyway.

I HAVE A DREAM!!!
when the public gets behind the riders and helps to push a riding spot. a peice of land, a few landings and some ramps out of town would be sic. the public always complain about "noise pollution" n shit, so give us a place to ride out of the way of people. my motox track used to open everyday but some AMERICAN had a meeting with the ground and sued the motox club. damn americans

I just remembered, there's one in Carnarvon, WA. Quite similar style to a skate park and definitely what you guys were thinking of. No paid entry or anything I don't think, it's just there and you ride it as far as I know, kinda small town so not as much worry of ramps getting stolen since, well, gonna be hell easy to find them haha.

yeh there are so many jackasses out there. i ride at about 4 or 5 different places. a few of me mates houses and then there is a couple of tracks in the forestry. most deffinately whenver me and my mates get together at my hoseu or theirs there is always some tool that lives so far away they might only just be able to get soubnd of a few bikes so they ring up the cops with horseshit stories sayin we are riding up and down there road or driveway.......in closing i say screw u all who have sumthing against us who no how to live.......FMX all they way.

a skatepark costroughly 100 000 to build.we might be getting a moto x track in temora which will be sweet,we just need like 25 people or somethin to join the club and well have it.should be sick!

yeah for sure guys, port gawler is a top spot to ride at cos its got something for everyone, whether its your first time on a bike or you're a full on pro rider.
and like meesh said, those ramps weigh a bloody ton! i think they're around 9 1/2 foot high and unless you've got like 10 dudes to help push, u need a car to pull them back! but the good thing is you can push them as close or as far back as u want and they're pretty much cool with it.
