Rode my neighbour's thumpstar yesterday - first time I had ridden a mini bike and loved it.

So now I'm looking around for something myself.

Most of you will tell me to buy a Honda, etc but I really don't have the money. I'm only going to be riding for fun, not racing, not jumping anything big.

Was thinking along the lines of a Thumpstar, Motovert or similar. But are there cheaper bikes out there that could cater to my needs?

Only want to pay up to about the $1500 mark. Anyone have anything? I'm on the Central Coast of NSW (Gosford area).

Have.
a) It's an ebay bike, heard that they aren't the best, although never ridden one myself.
b) He's in Penrith, which is a bit of a hike.

I guess in this thread I'm also after some advice on what to buy..

yeh get a pitster pro they cost a bit more though but i like mine. as long as u look after a china it will b fine for example check all bolts after riding i didnt do that once and my handlebars nearly came off but ive learnt from that they really just need a bit more care then a jap bike, motoverts are good as well couple of my mates have them also the braap would b worth a look at one of my mates has one of them and it goes good but yeh for all them ure looking at a bit more than 1500 unless u pick up a second hand one in alright condition.

I like the pitster pro's more because they are made to compete with the klx 110 not the crf50

yeh they do really also i didnt like the smaller ones as you feel to low to the ground i prefer to be a bit higher up and the pitster pro is that bit higher, the motors on them are good to
