any bike can have rec rego but you have to have a license. i think its 17 but not sure look up vic roads.

16 and 9 months too get your L's then you have to be on them for atleast 3 months Then you can get your P's,and you have too be on them for a year.
Thats NSW but i think from memory vic's the same.

you have to be 18 to get your l's on a bike. i got mine a couple of months ago. nd you hav to hav l's for at least 3 months then you can get ur restricted license. u can only ride 250cc for 12 months then your free. but get rec reg anyway just to cover half ur ass if cops pull you up.

What do you have to do to get recreational registration on your bike? Can any motocross bike get it or do you have to have lights and stuff?

from what i understand it has to have lights and shit and must be road worthy

My brother is 11, and he rides a rec. rego'd bike. He isn't licensed, obviously, but if he is caught riding the fine will be considerably less.

you need to have headlight, taillight, ??rear view mirror??, horn, a guard for the front sprocket. and thats it i think. a mx bike can get rec reg but you may have to rig up some sort of wiring system to run the lights unless u go to a vicroads that dont check that it all works. i think if the coppers were to give someone under age a fine for no license... wen they cant even get 1 thats a bit harsh especially if they are trying to do the right thing with the rec reg.

In NSW thats the regs....
As for age eligability for rec rego. u dont have to have a license. period.
If you ride outside the R.V.Area you are liable just like any other road user regardless of rec rego and can be fined!.
