my mate has found the bike for sale for $2000 so if it were to cost like grand or so it might be worth fixing up but got a quote today from moorooka yamaha, parts alone will cost $2000 for genuine ktm parts, rang some wreckers cos that might be the go but none of em had any newer bike parts

so it needs a new head? and barrel? what is actually wronfg with them? can they just be re-electro coated? piston and rings run $150 and gaskets say $40, then you could pick a head and barrel for 300-400 second hand off ebay, try ebay america.

**** that, just get one thats already going.

if the top end is ****ed there is probably other problems that you wont know about cause u wont be able to test ride it.
