i just got a works pipe for 00 cr125, and i have a stock silencer, can i run a pro circuit pipe with a fmf powefcroe 2 muffler? will this affect the performance? i heard that a factory yamaha racer run a pro circuit pipe and a fmf muffler, as it was the best match, so what should i do? i will be running a shorty muffler.

I don't see why it wouldn't hurt performance but then again each respective manufacturer makes and test their pipes to run with their own silencers so you might give a little away in performance. If your talking about who I think you are, David Vuillemin runs a FMF pipe with a Pro Circuit Silencer but thats only because FMF is a personal sponsor of his and has been for years. The rest of Team Yamaha use Pro Circuit pipes and silencers so i'm assuming that either both systems are pretty even or the Pro Circuit systems are better cause otherwise you'd think the rest of the team would use the same setup as David Vuillemin

thanks, yeah i did mean david, the only reason i am saying this, as i can get cheap fmf powercore 2 off ebay and i dont want to spend 200aus when i can get it for 120aus
